I've been a very big fan of the GIGA and ZEN Movies production company for several years now, and I hold a substantial collection of their videos, some of them I bought directly from their website and some others downloaded from this forum.
Like many of us that don't know a word of Japanese, I find it very difficult to understand all the dialogue and the plot lines of the movies. There are a few films that come with English subtitles, but the majority are in plain Japanese. I know, they are kind of cheesy and downright silly, but still, I would like to go beyond the sex appeal of cute girls in very cool and sexy outfits ducking it up with very ugly bad guys.
The making segments are very insightful, presenting very detailed behind the scenes takes featuring the main actress modeling, photo shoots, some wardrobe testing, and another that always baffles me, where you can see them having lunch, but again there is this same language barrier that stops me from understanding anything.
I wish to know more about all their production details, such their extensive female cast (which features several American and Central European girls), how do they approach actresses, who funds this company, locations, and so on. This is why I decided to make this thread, so we can share all the information in this regard.
I know there is a small movie that features the making of the GIGA films (back from 2007), and some other which details a promoting campaign for the ZEN series (I think it's from 2008), but they are all in raw Japanese, and I would like to go beyond that.
