I meant that it would probably be faster for Mugesz to get it and then upload it instead of me. He normally manages to do that much faster than me, for example with episode 31. So, Mugesz, think you could upload it?

jgslo, since the time you asked, you could have finished already :chinesenewyearf:

The only things missing now are the "movie" (it's not more than 45 mn, take it as an extended episode) and some part of the interview with the manga author (there could be another file than the one I posted).

Gu-Gu Ganmo episode 45.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DC6QUC45

We have finally finished with all normal episodes. Only the movie and the extra interview with the author remain missing. It's going to be a real challenge if anyone wants to make a torrent of the whole series.
So, what's next? I'll be focusing on getting Cybot Robotchi, but since this series was a successful effort, I'm willing to help in any other series that needs to be found, particularly if it's à la Dr. Slump.

Yeah, Dr. Slump: Arale-chan (1981) is quite good, better in my opinion than Doctor Slump (1997). Both series are missing good Japanese raws, although the one from 1981 is being steadily fansubbed by the French language based Gensoteam, so I think they will in time complete it, in a very long time, of course. 243 episodes is not an easy task, I can only think in Doraemon (1787 episodes) and Sazae-san (2032 episodes) as harder tasks.

Mugesz, elgringo14 and redrooster, are there any particular anime series that you remember or you wish to find, and that currently have no known or incomplete rips?

Episode 45 added to the list, series complete!

First, I would like to THANK YOU guys for helping so much on this cumbersome project. I really appreciate your efforts for getting Gu Gu Ganmo from the wastes of internet.

Unfortunatly we are still missing a DVD version for episode 10, which would be problematic if by chance a fansub team would like to take care of this series. But it's probably the fault of the original japanese uploaders.

I'm considering that making the HUUUUGE batch torrent is beyond my capacity on the long-term (over 15 GB ouch!)

Now what?
I have several series in mind, I keep on investigating about eventual rips.
I will not look for something that is available on DVD in my country, even if it doesn't have japanese audio. On the other hand, I would concentrate on series that neither have DVD release, nor ongoing fansub (french or english).
That makes Dr Slump (1981) not a good chioice for me. Actually I saw the 55 dubbed episodes this year on french TV (together with Ganmo, 2009 was a good year for sure).

Mugesz, "Spoon Oba-San" (or "Mme Pepperpote" as I have seen it in France) has almost all raws listed in anidb. I'm not saying they are easy to find, but this is promising.
Nils is available in french DVD, in dub-only version, so I'm not interested in it.

I'm also in favor of Japanese audio over any dub in anime. In that aspect, Doctor Slump (1997) has no rip in Japanese, all are in German or Spanish so it would also be a good choice, although I'd prefer an anime which has no rips at all. And, yeah, Dr. Slump (1981) seems to be in good hands with Gensoteam so we can ignore it. Spoon Oba-San seems to be complete in Share and the rips are less than 150 MB, so it is a good option too. Nils no Fushigi na Tabi does not seem to be complete on Share, although this may not be completely true.

Why don't you post all series you have in mind and then we check which of them have no rips, are available on Share and are interesting?

Well, if you are registered in that forum, here are a few ideas of truly hard to find old anime:

·Hyoutan Suzume (1959) http://anidb.net/a4933
·Mittsu no Hanashi (1960) http://anidb.net/a5486
·Saiyuuki (1960) http://anidb.net/a2199
·Instant History (1961) http://anidb.net/a5035
·Tetsujin 28-gou (1963) http://anidb.net/a1670
·Tetsujin 28-gou (1965) http://anidb.net/a1671
·Cyborg 009 (1968) http://anidb.net/a1527
·Mahou no Mako-chan (1970) http://anidb.net/a1900
·Majokko Tickle (1978) http://anidb.net/a3053
·Uchuu Densetsu Ulysses 31 (1981) http://anidb.net/a1016 (this one is widely available in non-Japanese languages, but honestly, none of them are up to the Japanese quality, particularly in the OP/ED songs.)
·Shounen Ashibe (1991) http://anidb.net/a2981
·Shounen Ashibe 2 (1992) http://anidb.net/a2982
·Tetsujin 28-gou FX (1992) http://anidb.net/a1673

I cannot request them there since registration is currently disabled. Some of them are more or less available on Share (truth be told, identifying which Tetsujin 28-gou rips are from which series is a difficult process to say the least), although not all of them are complete there (like Majokko Tickle).

I'm sure there are other series like Dr. Slump from the 1980s. Help me out here:
·Dr. Slump: Arale-chan (1981)
·Cybot Robotchi (1982)
·Gu-Gu Ganmo (1984)
·High School! Kimengumi (1985)

Which ones am I missing? Any other not here would be a good choice for the next project

I'm very much surprised, this is the first time one of my MU links gets broken. This is the oldest episode of the series that was uploaded back in 2009. :tea:
It was pretty fast to reupload, like it's still on their servers, maybe it was just a bug.

New link for episode 13:
