Our current memberbase is pretty small.
This is because the forum has only been up and running for a very short time.
And because of that, there isn't much activity around here yet, as you may have noticed.

We need your help to spread the word of this forum, so that we may reach greatness!
When we get more members, this place will generally just be a more interesting place to be.

And as this place grows, we will also get a much wider supply of torrents, which we know you want.
So, help spread the word, so that we may grow and build a new community.

Ya. And don't forget. You can always tempt people to come by offering them a large variety of UNRESTRAINED torrents :D
 
The community needs to grow, and it will... but I think it can be somewhat counterproductive to have so many forums/subforums so early in the game, i.e. having separate subforums for every console manufacturer, or having one requests subforum for every possible type of media. Also lounge/chatterbox/friedsomething could be had in one main open chat forum. I mean at least till theres enough distinguishable topics to make worth all these separate sections. This is mostly in the "General" area as you can tell.

I suggest this just to make it a bit more user friendly, so people can catch easier the topics that interests them and make it also more browsable in the end, for wich simplicity is a key point, I think. This is not hf you know ;)
 
Hm, well, I dunno. I've never really understood that.

I guess it's just the way I work. xD I want everything there right in the beginning so I know where to put it. Dunno.

Worked on the last forum I was on... It's up to chompy though. If he wants to remove them, then go ahead. xD Don't really care. Didn't take too terribly long to add them. I can do it again as we need them.

But I just like having them there, so if someone would want to post something, they would have a forum to post it in. They wouldn't need to, say, PM one of the Staff asking where it goes.

It's been said before, but this site is in developement.
And we're by no means pros at this kind of thing.
So we will learn as we go and grow.

We've made some changes, fixes and tweaks today, and there will likely be many more in the future.
If you've got a suggestion or feedback, drop a post in the Feedback & Suggestions thread.
We need to know what and how you think to make the forum how you want it to be.

In short.. What we need, is more people, activity and discussion. That as well as your feedback and suggestions.

happy new year. the site is starting to look really good, member base as swelled a bit since i was last able to get on.

it aint easy finding time for my fav message board, especially since my work banned messageboard access XD

need more loli torents though in my humble little opinion :please:

what i have dl'd so far has been excellent though. :happy:

The great idea is to do like I did:

To create torrents with publicity of the akiba-online inside of the torrent and to spread the torrent in all the other torrents forums.

I posted my torrent of SISTER SCHEME in 6 different forums (big forums) and I posted links for my tutorial of AGTH and to my torrent of the ATLAS in all these forums.

More than 2.000 people downloaded my torrent of SISTER SCHEME and they saw the publicity.

With certainty, with my "publicity campaign" of "Sister Scheme" I brought to our forum more than 300 new members.

I don't only make that again now because I have a very slow upload speed, and to seed alone a torrent, I need to stop all my download tasks, and I cannot make that now: there have more than 20 games in the "waiting list " that I need to download, and all these games have few seeder. If I stop the download now, I will lose the files.

It was very difficult to do the "seeder" of SISTER SCHEME alone : I needed to seed for more than 34 hours, and for that time, I could not make any download.

I like to seed files, but I like to seed torrents already with seeders, because I like to be seeding and downloading at same time. Now I am seeding 60 games and downloading 20 games. ( I have a HD of 160GB just to storage of torrents)

But soon, I will try to do that again. But not on these next two months.

It would be good if somebody that had a GOOD upload speed helped creating torrents with publicity of the forum. I have access to many Chinese forums. I could post these torrents in the chinese forums.


Another idea would be to restrict the forum just for registered members.

it is common to see browsing the forum only 9 registered members and more than 150 guests not registered.

I think akiba-online is the only forum that gives unrestricted access to guests not registered.

now, in the forum have 10 members and 128 guests. I think that is a great problem and needs to be changed.
 
Just make the hentai sections members only. That'd encourage more people to register. Is this version of VB legal? If so get some interesting mods too. =P
 
Hey i have been here a couple of times but i finally took the time to join.. I wanted to let yall know that i can help seed and upload (as soon as i can make torrents better)!!! If anyone needs help seeding a file or anything they can get @ me on aim/yim/msn just add me or send me a msg and i will be more than glad to help yall seed... I must admit my connection isnt the best/fastest but its stable and pretty much on 24/7 so its reliable... I will also spread the word through good sites about this wonderful site <3 and hopefully bring some good people!!!
 
We have that already.
There's a moderator/admin only section (Which you can't see), a lot of torrent sections and a general talk section fot you to use at your leisure.
There may/will be changes in the sections and subsections later on, but the current layout will not be changed for at least a while.

I needed an another forum for spreading my torrents. That's why I'm here too :p LOL

nvm, an another way to have a lot of members is to post on tosho a direct link of AO threads or site.
I did it for all my melody. torrent except the PV... I think I brought to this forum around 200 new members.
Of course, for IRC Users, it's better to add too the IRC Channel.

Recently, I added in my torrents a Credits.txt. Then, people will have the choice to join the forum or not ^^.
