Hot and/or great performers with lame catalogs?

There are a number of beautiful and/or great performers who have bad or inconsistent discographies. Here are some examples:

Yuria Satomi: She made a couple of good videos in the past, but it's been a long time since she really showed off what she can do. She's beautiful, and knows how to take charge, but she always ends up on her back and taking it on her face or boobs. It's boring.


Karea Uehara: twerker extraordinare. Has a tendency to be very dominant in the beginning and has many scenes with her riding a man like there's no tomorrow, but usually ends up on her back - and taking it on her face. She really only has a couple of good videos - especially with...


Aika: another great rider. She's made some great vids in the past and is even making somewhat of a comeback - but 95% of these vids are boring to me.


Sayuki Kanno: she's GORGEOUS, but none of her videos really standout.

Even my most cherished, favorite AV stars have a ton of releases that I don't care for at all, maybe even over 50% of their entire output, so it's hard for me to pull out real examples of this. And as such I also disagree about both Yuria Satori and Karen Uehara, they've still put out more than enough good videos for me, and recently too, where I'd say they do not disappoint me overall.

I guess what I would count towards this thread are some personal one-hit wonders in my collection.

There's Riko Honda for example.

I first saw her in this one:

And it remains one of my favorites in this entire, long-running series. (Ironically enough, regarding my previous defense of Karen Uehara, her entry in that series was pretty bad.) So of course I was looking forward to new releases of hers. I tried a lot but I found her boring in every single one, except for the one scene she has in this one:

These two things are for me the only good things she's done but at least she's disproportionally awesome in them.

I guess the closest actress I could think of that I'd say I like but actually find most of her content boring is Chisato Shoda.

And Ayu Sakurai has also been pretty boring recently, after a really great career start with stuff like this:

She's still releasing some good stuff here and there, but she's definitly been more consistantly great early in her career. I also think black hair doesn't suit her, (And yeah, I know that's obviously her natural color.) and she's been showing it more often than not lately.

Let me throw the following in: Maybe these movies are boring to you. But maybe someone else is a great fan of this actresses because they only do this or that in most of their movies and he/she likes exactly that.
And, no, I'm not talking about me. Especially as I haven't watched most of the actresses you've mentioned so far.

What I want to emphasize on: Doesn't depend on your personal taste if someone's catalogue is lame or not? I mean: Many members here say "hey, why doesn't she do something with semen" or "why doesn't she do some interracial" or "when will she do some uncensored" - while I'm happy they don't do that. In my case I like JAV movies with a plot or story. Normal sex is really boring to me. But I know there are members who have the exact opposite taste.

First person that comes to my mind is Sarasa Hara now going by the name Natsume Iroha. We all know her. She was always one of the more popular ladies on the scene for a long time. She took a break for a while and then came back and it just hasn't been the same. She is very good at doing many types of genres, but since her return , it's been nothing but force fuck, r***, & gang-bang. I'm not all that into any of those, but that is literally 80% of what she's been doing since she came back. And I don't get why. She can do so much more. TBH, it's like she doesn't exist. Being from the US, what you just described is a dime in a dozen in American porn. I'm so desensitized to that now it's why I started watching JAVs in the first place.

I hate US porn too but for different reasons... not really to do with genres.

As for being desensitized to specific genres, that's never happened to me. I like watching bukkake mostly and still do after watching hundred bukkake videos. Sarasa Hara has done several bukkake videos so I can't complain about her. The actresses who don't do bukkake are the ones who disappoint me.

US pornographers can make bukkake videos too but that doesn't mean I'm interested in watching them.

When it comes to porn focused on anal I can take it or leave it. I like seeing it, but I don't go specifically searching for it either. I don't find anything special about bukkake either. But when it's starts going 5 or more, that is when it becomes overkill for me and the boredom sets in.

There are plenty things that happen in the JAV r*** genre that happens in many regular porn scenes in US porn. Karen Uehara was one of my favorites as a gravure idol. With that great ass and slight overbite she looked so much like a sexy friend of mine. I was hard for a week when I read she was going AV!

But after her "Actual Gravure Idol's AV Liberation" (MIGD-477), which I loved, I never enjoyed any of her later performances. She appeared in some of my favorite genre's, and performed sex acts I would have dreamed her in. But she had lost that inner something, maybe just the nervous energy she had in gravure and that first AV.

I think inconsistent discographies is if they work sometimes for big labels and sometimes for small labels, or they active for some AVs and then not available for some months and then comeback to make some more new AVs and not available again and then comeback again

Miku Ohashi. She is one of the cutest, prettiest and most well known AV idols yet her videos are so damn boring. I always get lured in by her pretty face on the the covers but when I go to actually watch them its just boring, normal sex and maybe a threesome. She did one Dream Woman video long ago and that was about as hardcore as she got. I don't know if she is still active but eventually I've learned not to bother with her videos despite how great the covers look.
