Is it just me, or is anyone else is experiencing extremely low download speed using filesonic and hotfile recently? I am talking about really slow speed = 5.7 kb

15-18 Mb/s for hotfile premium (tested on a 20 MB/s line @ my bro's place, two days ago)

filesonic... i don't know; it's still breaking downloads though

Personally, 1/10 links fudge up for hotfile.
The DLs in those instances are either extremely slow or intermittent.

In Filesonic's case 1/5 links fudge up.
Problems in those instances are similar to hotfile problems.

Both cases seem to be caused by significant increases in traffic within a short period of time.

People pretty much migrated from everything else to hotfile for porn a couple months back.
Now that hotfile is getting hosed down by copyright pushers, the next great migration of filesharers
to refuge in filesonic.

Basically the traffic outgrew their capacity/resources.

Unless the files have been taken down, might as well use a downloader and leave it in que
while you sleep.

So that's why anything in english on hf seems to be a dead end these days?

Indeed.

But you also have to take into account that 99% of the uploaders name the damn files
EXACTLY what they are.

You think the hosters won't notice your dvdrips when the bloody file name and the link
itself is named porntitlehere.xvid.avi? :pandalaugh:

As a guy who likes >720p media content, I often /facepalm when I see uploaders putting up
files with names that specify EXACTLY what it is, and is taken down in a matter of hours.

hotfile is yesterday now, they actively remove everything good lol.. unless the uploader start zipping it and give some code instead of plain name just like hypmx7 said..

a gibberish zip file with correct filename inside would much better, i'd say its only time until the other file sharing sites follow the same fate with hotfile

of course doing so also creates a downturn...

1. it would be much harder for indexer such as filetubes to gather links that are searchable (hey hotfile itself won't be able to find out that's pron unless they open the damn file)

2. there is possibility it leads to more bogus file probably could contains malwares or to the least; unrelated stuff inside

of course youre right,
but how are you gonna find it if its not named properly, if you look for mad-114 you google mad-114...
you have to write the title somewhere, so it can and probably will be found by producers!
