This question can be personal or general.
It's pretty important for me because it lets me to have some semblance of emotional connection to the scene. You know that most JAVs (or porn) already focus too much on the female performers and worse, sometimes the girl doesn't even want to make eye contact with the guy by turning her head sideways or always closing the eyes. It creates the impression that she doesn't want to be there and just doing it for the money without any passion. This doesn't apply to raep-themed movies of course.
Do you know what weird is? Those amateur FC2 videos are often better in this regard. I think it could be because most of the producers are one or two man army, each of them spend a huge time with the girls (from recruiting them until getting down with the act) so they are not alien to each other.
Another weird thing is those fan-appreciation videos. The guys are uglier but the girls seem to always enjoy the sex. Maybe it's simply because this genre attracts (requires) the right kind of female performers in the first place or the director just asks the girls to act that way (subtle but important here).
