So, anyone who's got SKY-118 Sky Angel-75 Hibiki Otsuki, please post it!!
You can post a request in the request section named in my signature. If you do so, please, but the movie code into the thread title and read the sticky thread in that section.

Seems you're also a fan of Rio Hamasaki. ;) Good choice. :D

No, at the moment I don't use any program or tool at all. But if I do I want some functionalities that e.g. that JAVMovieScraper doesn't offer. :(
And if I find a piece of software which meets my requirements I will be happy to introduce it to this community. :)

Could you show some of your demands? I never use a app for my collection yet so I have no idea of it :)

Do you know AniDB? Something like that would be cool. A database of all JAV movies. I know that there are similar sites like JAVLibrary, DMM, R18.com, Sougouwiki and so on. But they all contain all parts of the information. And they don't include any hashes of the files which could be used to identify the movies. There is also no client which hashes all local movies.

9+ TB. I've been collecting for over 10 years, but it became a full fledged addiction when I discovered JAVtalk.

Organization is a huge problem. Especially when trying to go back and find a particular video. I came up with a system of screenshotting scenes I find to be really good, because its easier to scroll through pics than videos. But that's becoming a mess too now that I have several thousand screenshots.

If someone has the know-how to create something like this I would be very interested in supporting it.

If you guys have a hard time organizing, I am testing out a service organizing your collection and I need some volunteers with less than 1000 movies.

I like my collection small and manageable, so I only keep the best, and delete the rest. With less than 100 GB surely my collection looks pale in comparison. Very few are in HD (only the very best). I like streaming more.
If possible, I'll even make it files smaller, by re encode it in smaller bit rate and/or sometimes cut unused portion of it.

I have around 6TB now and with all the new HD releases coming it out, its just gonna get bigger. I've reached my limit of 6TB of JAV and will just keep it at this level by purging old stuff and videos I don't like that much. This way, I can manage backups on HDDs. Does anyone know of a cost effective way to permanently backup large amounts of data to a long term medium? An example of this for me is MDISC Blu ray or BDXL (100GB) when they come out. It might be rather expensive and not worth backing up JAV to it. Does anyone know if they are coming out with more archival grade, cost effective HDDs soon??? Smaller form factors? I haven't been really keeping up with technology.

Freaking HD releases are killing me, they're like 3-6GB per video. And now I'm too spoiled by them to download anything of lesser quality. :lempar:

As far as storage goes, you simply cannot beat the price per gigabyte of a standard magnetic hard drive.

I am just about at the 5tb mark now, trying to get it all on an encrypted drive so no one finds my porn when I'm dead. That's not going well. I don't think I've watched even a 10th of it. I am afraid to delete any cause there's stuff that made me yawn a year ago that turns me on now and vice versa. Also there's stuff I got bored with that I think is hot again. I don't know what I am gonna like next. So I keep it all, organizing it is a huge pain. I want to get some software created that can scan a folder for video files, find the studio code in the title, look it up on javlibrary or some such site and rename to include title, release date and resolution maybe some other stuff, or else (and maybe also) create a database entry including all the relevant stuff you might search for including tags and even bookmark my favorite spots in the video.

I hear you man. I still have all my old JAVs from over 10 years ago (you guys still remember Miho Maeshima and Mihiro from the fake penetration days?). I haven't touched those in forever but I still cant bring myself to delete them. :sight:

If I took a wild guess, I say 8 to 9 TB, maybe more. (My total porn collection: images, pdf files etc... has to be over 14 or 15 TB

I organize it by type of movie (mature, chikan, interracial etc..) or studio (Dandy, Natural High, Madonna etc..) If an actress has so many movies (i.e. Yumi Kazama, Ai Uehara, Reiko Nakamori etc...) then I'll organize it by her name (Whenever possible I have a jpg of the movie cover and a screenshot)

And if I go by the actress, it doesn't matter what studio the movie is under.

EVERY movie I ever kept is burned to dvd, unless it has a huge file size. I have binders that hold up to 320 dvds. I have an Ai Uehara movie that is 10GB, so unless I get a blu-ray burner, I won't burn it and it just sits on the hard drive. I can convert it to a smaller size and keep the original large one. I rarely delete movies unless they turn my stomach (too violent etc...)

Things do change over time. I used to have Dandy movies in one directory, but then I realized there are different types. Interracial, chikan etc.. so I divided those, but they're still under my "Dandy" directory.

Sometimes I'll download a complete series of movies at one time, such as "BTC" (Between The Cheeks)
BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 6.jpg BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 7.jpg BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 10.jpg BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 2.jpg BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 11.jpg BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 9.jpg BTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 1.jpgBTC- Between The Cheekz Vol 9.jpg

I use torrents. I tried direct downloading and I hated it. I keep torrent files of everything I've ever downloaded (movies, music, tv shows etc...) and I burn that to dvd. (I have thousands of torrent files)

size of torrent directory 6 5 2015.jpg

Of course I don't complete every download. Some stop at 50%, 80% etc... If a file stops at 99.9%, I'll copy it to another directory, give it the appropriate extension (avi, mp4, mkv etc..) and if I can see the movie with no problems, then I'll keep it. I use utorrent and leave it on for days at a time and I get one movie after another.

Another way is to go to one of those free JAV movie sites and just download them with your browser. You need an extension to do it, but you can. Some of the movies aren't good quality though. I have video editing software and if I have the time, I'll put together a personal compilation of my favorite actresses.

I used to be able to fit 4 movies on one dvd. But now, some movies only seem to come in hi-def and weeks or months later, they come in standard definition and I don't feel like downloading it again.

Sometimes, one movie can take up a whole dvd. Or someone will think they're clever and upload a movie as an .iso file that you'll have to convert. Or you get movies with the wrong titles.

Blank dvds aren't that expensive. ($22 or so for a 100 pack)

Both of my computers have 6 usb ports, 4 in the back and some of my external hard drives have an on/off switch, so that makes it easy. I can keep the drives out of sight. My big screen tv is 4 feet away and I have a hdmi port from the computer that connects to the tv, so sometimes I can watch the movie on a big screen. I'll use software like SMPlayer or Daum Potplayer. You can play your favorite scene on a loop (A-B) and also save vidcaps of it.

This is a labor of love, but I enjoy it. Recently I bought a 5 Tb hard drive. I'm thinking of getting a few more and then I'm going to backup ALL the stuff I own (not just JAV), back it up on external hard drives and put them in a safe or safety desposit box ($25 a year at my bank). So if they're destroyed somehow, I'll have a full backup.

Can anyone recommend a good (small) vid editor? Preferably a lossless (without re-encoding the file) so we can split a film into individual scenes. One, these over-sized files can now be backed-up onto 4.4 GB DVD-R, and TWO, after the first watch, it's not often I want to watch it from beginning to end again, it would be nice to split a good scene out and only keep it on the HDD.

One software program I use is Bigasoft WTV converter. It's pretty versatile. You can crop, trim, edit, add a watermark. You can convert to many different formats. It can save the file in it's original format or convert it to mp4, mkv, flv, avi etc... You can change the resolution and screen size. (i.e. from 1280 x 720 to 720 x 480) A suggestion is to get a small video file and experiment with it, because a large file can take so long to render. You want to be sure of what you're doing before you work with a big file.

Another program I use is Daum Potplayer. It plays videos and movies, but it can also act like a dvr in a sense. You can watch a movie, capture or record a specific scene to a specific directory and continue to watch the movie. Then go back later and see what you captured. It also does screen captures and that comes in handy because I can capture thousand of images from a scene and play them like a slide show.

A similar program is SMPlayer. And both programs play files with the .wtv extension (Format for files that are recorded by Windows media center. You don't need to use Windows media player.)

There are programs that will split a movie into different sizes so they can fit on a dvd or cd (700mb) for that matter, but I can't think of any right now.

Daum Potplayer is free, Bigasoft WTV Converter is not, from what I remember. But if you know how to download a torrent, then you can solve that problem.

Sigh. I've been avoiding reading this thread. Figured it was better to not know where I stand in relation to other addicts. Well, it might be time to get help LOL!

Most of you have small collections :jah:

A lot smaller than it used to be. I decided to keep only 60 fps stuff ... 24 and 30 just look way too chopy after you've watched 60.

Almost 8TB. I'm using a 3TB external hard drive and it only has about 100GB empty space. I think I have to buy a new one soon.

I'm picky and most of my JAV are in SD so my collection is not much, still less than 3 TB
