How selective are you in choosing your JAV?

I will just start here by openly admitting that I do have a porn addiction. I have over 500 GB of JAV stored on my hard drive over the years which is somewhere in the range of 250 to 500 videos. Yes, even I know that is seriously excessive. However, I seldom watch the same video multiple times. I usually just watch it once and decide if I actually like it or not and if I do I store it away. The only time I do re-watch them is when I am in the mood and decide to randomly grab one to watch from my surprise box or when I re-evaluate them for deletion.

There is always a consistent supply of new JAV every day for free on the internet thanks to generous people so I often struggle for free disk space, and I do not plan on buying new hard disk drives just for porn. In which case, this leads me to the reason for making this topic. I am also wondering if there is anyone else here in the same boat as me.

A simple solution would be for me to just quit watching porn but I am not going to~ :gayprance:

Anyway, to the point of this topic. I am curious to know how selective any of you gentlemen are in choosing what JAVs you buy/download. I mean, obviously I am open to all kinds of porn here otherwise I would think my porn data would probably be far smaller. Are there certain qualification restrictions you gentlemen put on yourselves on deciding what you want? Say, for example, only videos of a certain category or only videos starring a favorite actress. Perhaps maybe even videos only by a specific company.

Hmm well I have several categories I will arrange it based on my priorities when choosing JAV:

1. Beautiful or Cute Actress (I don't quite know all the names but I do have several names which become my favourites, they are Nana Ogura, Tsugumi Nagasawa, Ameri Ichinose)

3. Orgasm Denial (but this is so rare)
4. Office Lady
5. Teacher

I am very picky aboout it and often dissappointed with what I find. It is similar to taking a girl out and wishing it was time to take her home. I do not collect porn. I used to but it got old, so I got rid of it. Hard for me to pinpoint my actual qualifications, I just cruise covers for something that I find interesting. It varies. If I find a series I like I give it a priorty in the search.

I am certain this is not the common thing to do here but like I said, to each their own.

I'm insanely picky to such a degree that I only have a meagre 40 GB or so of actual saved stuff in my "stash".

I have such a restrictive list of criteria for my ideal porn that it's almost ridiculous. That said, despite using the word "list" it's not like I actually pull out a check-list and rubric my videos, lol. I'm quite like Ceewan where I hunt around for summat nice and pick only what I think will be the best stuff. If I don't get that instant "I gotta watch this" feeling, it gets bypassed.

Part of it is to do with the fact that I don't have the time/patience/bandwidth to download so much, so I have to be choosy, but mostly I'm just a VERY picky person.

The good part is though, even though I only have 40 GB, I know they're the cream of the crop (in my eyes) and I enjoy them that much more. :goodboy:

I'd say I am very selective. I tend DL JAVs from a core group of performers (Yuma Asami, Maki Hojo, Ayane Asakura, Hana Haruna, Anri Okita). I like JAVs that are more or less plotless, or the plot is at its most thin.

I've got three rules for my jav:

First, if it's censored, I don't touch it. If I wanted pixelated porn, I'd play Minecraft and build a brothel. This rule doesn't get broken at all, regardless of how much I enjoy the performer.

Second, if the girl has the Amazon Rain Forest growing in her crotch region, I don't touch it. I'll usually avoid it if she has any pubic hair at all, unless she also takes it anal, or is attractive enough for me to overlook the bush (usually the second happens more often than the first).

I think what is meant by "essentially JAV" is that pixelation or mosaic makes a video a JAV. The censor is one of things that sets JAVs apart from other porn.

Uncensored stuff is largely (but not only) enjoyed by fans overseas. The JAVs that Japanese guys rent, buy, and/or DL is censored.

Me, I can go either way. I am not a huge fan of close ups, so I don't care if a JAV is censored or not.

I DL censored because many of the most current, top performers put out censored videos.

Should Yuma Asami, or Anri Okita do any uncensored work, I will certainly watch them.

By only wanting Uncensored kind, u limit urself of great movies and Idols.

Something I came across that I really liked:

What we see in the uncensored JAV sections are of course Japanese porn that is only sold overseas and never viewed in Japan itself. Thus it is catered to a different market and loses the "flavor" of your common JAV.
