I guess RS isn't for you Sam. For me, when I'm hungry, I go where the food is. All you can eat, $10. or I can stand outside being angry at a company that doesn't know I exist.
I joined because I deserve to get my stol*n pira*ed hack*d files faster.

I've seen your future, and of couRSe, it was good.

Cheers!

for me is funny when you angry to some store manager, that pay-food is taste better than u'r free-food and telling u will go to other store if you don't get same taste of u'r free-food as the pay-food

all the talking bout a gig in 30min or 3min is not really related to premium or not, but it also depend on u'r internet connection, premium user get maximum bandwith within range of u'r internet connection, so if your max d/l speed is a gig for 30min than don't expect to get a gig for 3min just because u're decided to be a premium user, but of course you will get slower speed if you chose free user

for firefox user, you can use add-on skipscreen, this won't cancel the waiting time, but u don't need in front of u'r pc try-ing and try-ing again, skipscreen will waiting for you n automatic donwload it if the time is come

Typical rapid shit fan bois STILL don't have a clue. It has nothing to do with haveing or not haveing a paid for account rapidshit is STILL painfully slow either way. I have had an paid for rs account and it STILL 10 times slower than my free deposit files one or easy share free download. Hell even a free download for megaupload is many times faster. Then we get to my gold account on deposit files where things are at at least FIFTEY times faster. Yes thats right FIFTEY, I can get 5-6 MEGABYTES a second vs 100KB/s from rapidshit. Yes elgringo14 you can sometimes get 100kb/s on raipidshit free but its as rare as someone wining the lottery with thier first ticket.

My RS (paid) dl speed ranges from 700kbs to 1.4MBs, My MU (paid) range between 500kbs to 800kbs depending on peak hours of the day. Happy with both. Perfer either over all others, esp HF.

Finally!

sure is nice to discuss this with people who know! IRC.. You have every right to call RS anything you want, because you have been there, here and everywhere. Thxthx you for sharing your exp- with all these paid places. I have been trying to help just one person to cross over then my mission will be complete I use FDM and RS works great with 4+ dl at once. with a huge link list cued up.
I hope I can make one point you can laugh at..Aren't fast dl speeds are kinda fruitless when 90% of the files are at RS? Like Okay, Dl..now.. done!...now what?...tic tok Maybe if RS had no files, they'd be faster? Anyway, that's why I joined them first, then DF, Now I'd love a service that has a good upload speed..Do you know one? MU?

aviant_greek Like that restaurant parable simile thing? I had another that was Baskin Robbins 31 flavors ice cream, where they give you the little pink spoon for samples, or you pay $10 and get the key to the place..you sure you don't want the whole cone, today sir?.NO WAY! NEVER (grumbles) I'll take my stupid spoon to the end of the line..hehehe

Thxthx you for saying that. I feel as angry as Sam does (at free RS) when I see something i want, but it's HF. If you click the preview, they are posted offsite and loaded with popups. And it's the same 3 guys who are in this to make money. I should take my own advice and assimilate, because resistance is HotFile. On the pos side, thxthx to them for the HF warning in the post headers.

one of 'em is suspended (30days) don't know the reason, maybe for not including [HF] on the header, flooding the forum with bunch of stolen files, preview pics and not crediting the original poster ??? who knows? regardless of, its a welcome relief.

I'm just curious why Rapidshare had to implement this new 2 minute wait, when too much people are downloading... It's like RS is waving their middle finger at my face and I hate that! Why wasn't the 15 minutes between files enough? But still I've managed to download about a terabyte as a free RS user in a year. I guess RS likes to think they can force people to get premium accounts. Sigh, a year ago the download speeds from RS were amazing, even with my slower internet connection. And no waits between files. I think I've ranted enough for now :warning2:

Even if the speeds you posted are true teaser thats still 4 to 10 times SLOWER than my Deposit Files account. So why would I bother with rs or mu ? Hot file is not that bad. One to avoid is storage to. Damm that was slow 9-10 hours to get a 700meg file.

why would I lie? I do not benefit from it in any way. 4 to 10x faster, maybe in countries like in Japan/ Euros, but not here in the states that I know of, our ISP providers are tightwads.

The reason why I'd paid for these particular two is simple, file(S).

I used to have both Rapidshare and Megaupload premium account. And I prefer MU over RS as they do not have a limit on the total bytes of downloads per day/per month.
What is the use of having a fast download speed when you have used up the limit of your downloads allowed per month?

For now, RS like always is ok when I manage to finally download something off from them as a free user which is like once in a blue moon... keep getting that same old ip is currently downloading a file and wait time which seems to be an never ending loop.

By the way, what's up with Hotfile? Why is everyone starting to post with Hotfile?
I can't download anything from them. Facing the same problem like RS except with Hotfile, It's Never Ever once did succeed.

rs, megaupload dun work for me. it always say i exceeded the download limit or my ip address has already been downloading the file but it was not.

this happen when i use static ip. i tried using non static ip and it works.
i do not have much knowledge in computer etc stuff. maybe shd request my isp not to have static ip.

many forums or sites prefer using rs, megaupload. very sad nt able to dl any files from rs, megaupload.

I agree. Rapidshare is a pretty crappy service compared to megaupload. But depositfiles is one of the worst sites I have ever downloaded from. I guess it's due to the are where you're from. The download speed varies from country to country. :puzzled:

So that's why I get good speeds from Depositfiles when using a free proxy... Without proxy: 40kb/s, with proxy 350-400kb/s.

Now here's a good idea for RapidSHIT: during peak hours, post a banner on your website saying: Free users fuck off, it's premium time only! Because it's almost impossible to get a download slot weekends.

There is a quick solution to this problem, "just register for a membership. you'll get your moneys worth."
