I need help with d3dx9_24.dll.

I dl it and tried extracting it w/ winzip, but the same error message comes up,"cannot find component". Can anyone help?

So i suppose that dll file was missing, preventing you to play some game, right?
Don't forget that you have to paste it in your system32 directory (usually at c:\windows\system32\) or maybe, if you're using Win7 64bits, in the SysWOW64 directory (c:\windows\sysWOW64\)
That should be enough to play the game... But just in case, be sure to download it from a serious source...

ok, thanks. but now every time i load the game, it gives me a "has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience". And this happens all the time

So, can you tell us which game is causing you these problems? And also tell us your computer specifications. Two possible reasons (in my opinion) :

- Maybe you need to (re)install directx9.
- Maybe your comp is too old to handle the game.

Its Rapelay[English][Pc]. And it worked before i wiped my computer. I tried reinstalling it twice now and it still comes up.
