I need some help piecing together a video.

Something like this comes in so many pieces, how would I put them into just one video again? Because when I try to open one file just by itself it says "invalid file" or something along those lines. These files are not .001 files, they are .avi files that I don't think you can connect using HJsplit

You can rename the .avi parts to .avi.001, .avi.002, etc. Then join the parts as usual and see if it makes sense.

I'm using HJSplit, and it doesn't think of the parts as parts that can be joined...
Renaming them with the .001 doesn't seem to work.

Yes. What IdolFun said. Install 'winRAR' (a must have for any downloader) and click on the ...part01.rar file. (These are definitely not HJSplit files. Do not rename anything.)

I use 7zip. All the files inside the rars are named "KODV 0093", only the rars say the part names. So when I extract them I need to rename them because they all have the exact same name. Also just the first video(the one from 093.part01.rar) will play by itself, but any after that will not play on Media Player. :cry:

There is only one video file, which is split into 11 segments and put into each part##.rar. When you use 7zip or WinRAR, it will automatically extract all 11 segments and combine them into the one, original file. You do not need to manually rename each file or rejoin them. However, it is imperative that you keep the 11 .rar files with their original name (the correct numbers for each part##.rar), so that when 7zip or WinRAR is piecing them together, it can correctly find each .rar file.

You can confirm this: All 11 part##.rar files together should be 1GB. When you finish extracting the file, you should have 1 video file that is also 1GB.
