I find it a bit strange how most ppl chose to include in this thread. The topic is "Idols That You Try To Get Into But Can't", did you really "try to get into" X before posting about X in this thread?
Like Reiko Sawamura, I think 2 minutes of research (what's the minimal investment to qualify for "try to get into"?) is enough to figure out her specialization, hmmm? She's a very niche specific genre persona. It should be perfectly clear for each and every JAV user to determine if he likes her based on matching her specialization to his taste, after two minutes. Right?
I can declare Reiko Sawamura is a poor match to my taste, but it's a waste of my time to write and your time to read this fact. And then why someone else waste time to object to that opinion (preference)? It's just Battle of Different Tastes (BDT)
I think to worth to write a post to this topic: you either pick someone who is (A) very highly ranked in sales/popularity/hype so "I" try to get into her (at least watch three vids?) and then fail to like her. Or (B) she matches "my" tastes so "I" try (at least three vids) and fail...
My example is Ayumi Shinoda, she's top ranked, long time career, very hot objectively and very professional, she did everything right but mostly I couldn't get into her. Maybe she reminds me of my aunty. (but she's retired for so long now, she's not relevant now)
A reverse example is Yua Mikami, I happen to like her very much, but I know many fans love to hate her. It's interesting for me to read any criticism of her if it's clearly expressed.
Otherwise it's just a Battle of Different Tastes which is OK, but BDT can easily invade any topic and dilutes away the interesting and special aspect of any specific topic.
