UGUPTAS:
Let's not forget that in general, Europeans are way less repressed sexually than us north americans.
Sex is much more widely accepted in their culture(s). Best example is that "non-porn" films in Europe are more likely to feature nonchallant nudity without any artifices. Here in North America, a film will get an R-rating if it shows a woman nude, but only a PG-13 if a guy shoots dozens of people with a machine gun with blood splattering everywhere.
The Rocco-Rosa situation is fairly simple: Rosa always knew Rocco was a pornstar and that it was his profession/job/vocation. She dabbled a bit in porn exclusively with him for a while but it wasn't her bag. Like I said: in Europe they aren't as closed-minded in terms of their sexuality as North America... in general.
the stigma of being a porn performer: it's a sign of true hypocrisy when male pornstars aren't as "harshly judged" as female pornstars. Again, this may mostly come from the North American puritanical hypocrisy subconscious mindframe that no self-respecting woman would "degrade" herself to being fucked on camera by any old tom dick harry. The male star is a "stud" and guys look up to him, but the females are called "sluts". Something absolutely wrong with that, especially if we are to allow both sexes to be open and able to explore whatever they wish, sexually.
Sidenote: Dutch ex-porn performer Zara Whites once said that one of the main reasons she wanted to do porn in the 1st place was because it was easier to do girl on girl in porn than in real life. In reality she wanted to explore her bisexuality but found it rather hard to approach women to explore sex with her. In porn, well if she was scheduled to do a lesbian scene, there it was, no fuss, no hassle!
Also rather intriguing is how we North Americans will automatically label a female performer as a pornstar even decades after she retired. It's like for example if you worked at McDonald's for a summer, then got a job at a law firm. Would people say "there goes Such-And-Such, the McDonald's employee" even if such-and-such has been working in the law firm for 5-10 years?
Like I said, a LOT of stigma surrounding porn performers...
