Immersive 3D Content and Enthusiasts (oh boy...)

Hello, new here. Anyone here uses r18.vom rplayer for Android? It seems to crash when I try the sample vr videos from the site so I am not quite keen to purchase a video with a chance of it not working. Also is the rplayer vr player options the same as the dmm vr player (no curving of the video as it reaches the sides?
What kind of phone do you have, a hefty one that should be able to handle it?

Does anyone watch videos in 4K format (4096x2048, two circles)? Compared to LR format (2880x1440) seems to be higher res and more detailed, but also has more distortion. Not really sure it's a good tradeoff

That would specifically be in an Oculus or Vive? My S8 and Gear VR won't handle that without major stuttering. I'm good with the lower bitrate.

Just when I though no one would try it again...at least until next Halloween...SOD VR is releasing another zombied bloodied experience, this time with a Minimum alumnus.

Neither, I only have 360 mode in potplayer pc
You are really missing a whole lot not watching VR in a headset, friend. Had to Google Potplayer, it only allows to use your mouse to turn the video vantage point around, it can't produce the in-your-face right-in-front-of-you that VR can. Maybe invest in a low-priced headset to try it out and see the difference?

Some new (and upcoming) releases that seemed interesting to me:

are there any players that can play vr videos normally?

You mean like "in VR?" They yes, all of them. If you mean in plain old 2D, well, I know VLC player will, but it will be a double image and all warped on the side. Just get a pair of goggles and you're home free son I believe in you. Up top.

Looking forward to it. I wonder if they will be able to top AVOPVR-101.

Anyone else have problems with AVVR videos? I can never get the scale right which is a shame because they shoot some good stuff.
I think they just don't create them correctly.
