Having a hard time putting this on my iphone. Any advise? Also, I tried to watch other ones on my iphone and the image is stuck looking at one spot. I cant look around at all. Is that just how it is?

I use Mobile VR Station, it has lots of adjustments to play different VR encodings, but with limitations. However demo only allows 5mins of play if i remember correctly.
Can adjust eye IPD, head tracker options, etc. and saved into different profiles. Somewhere it says it uses the iPhones internal playback, so only mp4 will play, this i solve via repack mkv to mp4 using ffmpeg. Also my iphone has a max playable of 4096 x ????, so 4096 i found is the max width it can handle, and i have not found any limit on height so far. You will need to re-encode to width of 4096 if you got a higher width video. I use handbrake for that and is pain as it takes looooong time.

cost me $3.99 which is worth it as my left eye is not as good as my right eye and this IPD setting make me to see VR properly.
And lastly, you can stream from your computer the videos with uPnP or download to device for no lag if your wifi is not good.

There are more and more VR titles released with a 4096x2048 resolution @60 fps, and sadly, I can't watch them (Gear VR + S6 Edge +). The videos lag because the resolution is too big. Do you think it's possible to downgrade the files ? Or changing my Gear VR to an Oculus Go. Using a smartphone is annoying so it could be better too. I read that Oculu sGo can play 4096x2048 resolution @60 fps files. Any user here ?

I use Galaxy S8 with Gear VR and have no lag. Thinking about getting the Oculus Go, though.

I think that my phone processor isn't powerful enough for files with that kind of video resolution. Buying a S8 would cost more than buying an Oculus Go. With the Go, another good point is that you have a bigger storage space (at least, when you come from a 32Gb S6 Edge +, as the OS take already a good part of it, plus the apps).

Yeah I wouldn't recommend getting another phone, just saying the difference in phone could be the issue and seems it is. My screen has some burn in and a few cracks in the screen so I do at times notice it if I'm distracted while enjoying a presentation. The Oculus Go seems the thing for me!

I download only 4K videos. It is the real thing, almost real resolution face to face. 3K or 2K is too blurry in VR. But I use PC glasses with 150% of supersampling (Samsung Galaxy Odyssey Plus).

After some researches, I found some Galaxy S8 (second hand units) around the same price as the Oculus Go (second hand too). The thing is, I rarely use my phone (I don't travel for the moment, so I don't take pics or vids) except for some apps (language learning, bets, internet). If I buy a S8, I will have a better smartphone, but it will still be "annoying" to use the phone with the Gear VR (always setting the phone up), so it will drain the battery. Buying an Oculus Go will probably give a better autonomy, nothing to set up, so nothing "phone related".

(the second hands units are on Rakuten, I always buy my electronic devices there if they aren't new (Xbox, smartphone, ...)

Go handles not only 4096x2048 but even up to 4800x2400 in 60fps (h264 only). I'm not sure if only the official gallery app handles it though or if other apps were updated to handle the higher resolution.

Thank you. I really think the Go will be my next purchase lol. I found one at 170 euros. Second hand, almost never used, the guy is selling it because he has a Rift and just got another VR device.

Yes, it is the Plus Version (Samsung Odyssey Plus), but they are not a standalone device. You need to conect them to a PC. As you say they don't sell in Europe, I live in Europe and I have bought them in Amazon USA.
The quality with a 4K VR video is amazing. This glasses don't have the backdoor effect, you don't see the pixels so it is almost like a TV screen. With a 4K or 5K VR video it is almost real life resolution, you see the girls right in front of you in 3D, real scale with real life resolution. It 's breath-taking...

Wow, it seems like the perfect device if it doesn't have all thise problems. Yeah, I could import the device but my computers aren't powerful enough for that. And I would need to have the computer where I watch JAV, which is not very convenient.

I watched a VR movie of Iori again on friday night, and she was fun indeed. Her acting is really good, same for Arisa (cute acting). I kinda stopped watching Arisa because of her nosejob, but when I see Arina Hashimoto and some others ruining their faces, Arisa's is the least shocking one.

Yes of course I have found very good videos... But sadly they are a minority...

It is a lot of worse in Western VR porn. Too much fake tits, ugly tattoos, disgusting piercings, a ton of make up.... It is like to fuck an ugly plastic doll... And I am european, so it is not a cultural thing... Western porn is mostly unwatchable for me. I prefer JAV, with beautiful, normal girls and no fake tits (almost), no tattoos and no piercings...

A laptop ? Same, not powerful enough. My gear is too old (almost 10 years for the desktop machine). Only a 2core CPU (Intel E8400), Nvidia 9800 GTX and 3Gb of RAM. I will upgrade one day, at least for local transfert speed, but I'm not a gamer and "photo editing" works just fine currently. I just upgrade both my machines with SSD drive, and it's already way faster than before.
