I'm assuming a lot of these have been in post-production during current events?

From what I understand, filming takes probably 1-2 days for full length (90-120min) AVs
Post production can take up to 1 year, fastest would be around 3 months?
And they would usually stagnate the release dates to ensure that they will always have new releases to keep the money rolling in on "dry seasons"

280+minutes of 4K? That's way too many Gigs than I'm willing to download on something I might end up not liking most of. I pass on those every time. Do others grab those? Just to maybe find something?

Thank you, I didn't know about DMM. They seem to have a region restriction, at least on the VR section of the site. Maybe it can be bypassed with a VPN?
From a quick search I've found another site called R18 that has quite a lot of stuff and some good sales. How is it? (Except for the crazy price of 8,980円 for the monthly subscription, that's insane.)
Anyway, is there a thread around here discussing all the legit sources? Especially about VR, to stay in topic. Which ones do you use?

I am interested too, but only if I can download, play offline and keep what I buy. I don't pay for streaming or films you need to be online to watch them.

No. I download the individual titles, if I like them.

Your eyes should be able to focus a bit better in real life. It may vary depending on your device and also if you have presbyopia.

But that's the whole point. These compilations are designed so you can sample multiple scenes. Sure 280+ minutes of 4k may feel like a lot, but it's nothing compared to how long it would take to download the full scenes.

Again, these 'Super Best' collections are the only way to be sure a hidden gem isn't being lost.

A one year post prod is even more than Hollywood movies. I would rather say few months of post prod instead. I never kept tracks on when a girl announced a shooting and when she tweets about the release.

In the lastest releases (still don't available here at Akiba) I have seen they are using the fisheye format more and more. Even old DECHA films are been rereleased with fisheye. It is a wonderful choice, fisheye is the best format to keep the real size of the girls... No more giant women...

Sadly, the new 3DSVR films are awful. Bad definition, and girls like giants... One of the worst VR JAV companies...

It kind of hurts seeing how much they produce and how inventive they often are. The "lens" choice doesn't matter to me as the difference between them is miniscule and I even prefer taller girls, but the quality of the video itself... Every time I wishfully try one of theirs after a while, there's the same muddy video. I even see reviews on DMM stating the exact same thing, that their VR quality is that of the early era.
