I only have GearVR so I do get a bit too much screen door effect for my taste, but I'm not going to spend a lot of money just to watch my porn a bit better. Now if I did a lot of the other VR stuff too that would be different.

I find the censoring annoying in VR. It's ok in normal porn because everything is flat, but in VR the mosaic still looks 2D while the rest looks 3D so it is extra noticeable. I wish they could make it curve more so it would look more natural.

If I say to buy the best glasses you can pay, it is not for showing off or because the best is the only thing that is worth. If I say it it's because, like you, Casshern2, I love virtual reality. All of it. The games, the movies, the experiences ... And VR porn. And I want as many people to enjoy it too, and VR to become popular.

But I have seen too many people abandon VR for a bad experience with Google Cardboard, and with smartphone glasses. Virtual reality is physically demanding: it requires you to put screens on your eyes, and if the hardware is of poor quality, your eyes get tired, the screen is blurred, you can see the screen door effect ... And people quit VR.

This is what has happened with the VR on mobile phones, which no longer exists outside of VR porn... because the poor quality screens have killed it, and have driven people away from VR.

So I always tell people to buy the best glasses they can afford. Because that experience is going to be the best possible, and they are not going to want to leave VR as many people have done after watching blurred videos with bad screens.

Absolutely, friend, for those who can start big, might as well. We don't take anything you say as showing off, you're offering your experiences, everyone appreciates that, myself included. To hear how you describe what you experience is great! If it motivates others to take the plunge into VR (which everyone owes themselves to do!) then you and others are doing great! There's room at the other ends of the spectrum for those that want to put a toe in the water before diving in financially as well. Same with the studios. There are some that still don't quite produce as well as others, but, there's some value in their content still to some, perhaps. Any way you look at it, VR is amazing and hopefully here to stay. Think about the 3D craze not long ago. Now a thing of the past. Funny to imagine during that time the number of 3D titles were released vs the number of VR titles during the VR craze.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 in mine, either it doesn't have that bad a screen door effect, or, more than likely I've become accustomed to ignoring it? Or my attention is elsewhere or my eyes are getting bad! Whatever the case may be, I'm good with what I see and it does the job. I'm also not in the market for any gaming or other things VR. That would absolutely change everything, you're right.

About the mosaic, that's an interesting take! But, again, because I've been into JAV for so long mosaic is just a part of the viewing experience and I guess I tune it out, looking more at faces, body parts you can see, situations, and the scenes as a whole, I suppose. When I think about having curved mosaic or by other means make it look more 3D/VR-like, I think that would catch my attention more than what they do now. Hmmm...I wonder if they will do that, now I'm curious to see what that looks like!

I watch 2D stuff with a VR headset now too. Movie theater size screen and somehow feels a bit freeing being in complete darkness (no screen glow illuminating you either).
The "void" option for surroundings around the screen helps with immersion too. After I'm done I usually watch one of these strolling through a city videos on Youtube, they are more immersive with a headset. Concerts are also fun but a bit tiring.

HP revealed the HP Reverb G2 this week. It will be another premium headset (600$)
, but in the standalone category.

I read the previous messages above, and I would say that currently, the best option for watching VR porn (and not play games) is the Occulus Go. A standalone headset that I have now for around 6 months now and I'm more than happy with it. 4K VR movies look really good, it makes the immersion super easy.

Sorry, but not, it isn't. There are options with more resolution, better screen and supersampling, so it is not the best option. For what it costs yes, it is a good option, but not the best. I don't understand why the hability to play games is a thing to consider when you want to watch VR porn. You don't have to play games with Quest or VR PC if you don't want.

I am glad you are happy with Oculus Go. It is what I seek, that people stay with VR and don't quit after a month or two...

I would get a Pimax for porn.
The biggest problem with most VR headsets for me is the SDE which gets in the way.
This is annoying when watching scenes with facials, far away action. etc.

Pimax has awesome screens but they are very expensive, and you need a powerful PC to display 4K per eye... Samsung Odyssey Plus don't have SDE. They use a technology to avoid SDE. And you can revert the soften effect with supersampling. Other modern glasses don't have SDE, too...

Oups yeah indeed, I don't know why I thought it was a standalone. My bad.

I should have been more accurate : the oculus Go is the best standalone headset. The Oculus Quest doesn't seem to do much more that could justify that price difference (if you just want to watch porn).

Seriously, JAV is suffering from the same thing western porn is. 95% of the content released is a rehash of the exact same scene. The current content isn't bad, it's just a shame to see such a lack of unique/fetish content from the MASTERS of unique/fetish content.

3DSVR/SOD has been really going for it with inventive themes but it's all turned to ash by their 2016 cameras.

Nevertheless there are studios out there that put a lot of thought even into plain stories. The first 30 minutes of JUVR-053 is just talking. At first it's a bit awkward between the three ladies, but they really get in sync and it becomes fun! JAV studios don't put much work into VR as non VR. Probably because of the market. I don't see myself actually spending money for these titles as I do non VR. The VR experience is great. The chance to see your favorite JAV star in a way that would never happen in real life is fantastic. For me I'm pissed at the lack of decent cumshots and The amount of fake cum they sneak in VR. I think they shoot the regular stuff first, then do the VR after. After they all have been exhausted. I will still watch these but yeah they do kind of suck (not in a good way). I guess that's what most people like: Nakadashi, fake cum, endless fondling, talking, scenes shot too far (bad camera angles) etc.
