Hi, new member here but just wanted to ask for some advice regarding my new job!

Recently I started a new site about the adult industry in Japan specifically the "sex" industry. Obviously JAV plays a major role in this so I've been given exclusive access to interview idols in Japan. Part of the site will cover me exploring the industry by meeting the girls and doing Q&A's with them. I've also been allowed to see how JAV's are made from start to finish.

I was on the set of this JAV recently, back in May. On set with the guys from WANZ
http://www.dmm.co.jp/mono/dvd/-/detail/=/cid=wanz367/?i3_ref=search&i3_ord=4

In the coming weeks I have the task of interviewing this girl ( Kubota Airi )
http://www.dmm.co.jp/mono/dvd/-/list/=/article=actress/id=1021343/

Is there any questions you would like me to ask her on behalf of the JAV community?

If you would like any proof, here is my first sort of blog I did was when I spent the day with JAV idol "Amai Shizuku"
http://blog.tokyonightstyle.com/amai-shizuka-interview/

Any requests for interviews / q&a / live streams etc please let me know any ideas to promote JAV idols to the world would be appreciated.

What an amazing job you have...I have bookmarked your site, ganbatte kudasai;)

This is a bit hard. I think questions on the industry have largely been answered and I would hate to be redundant, so I'm probably gonna go with personal preferences.

What made her decide to enter the industry?
What is her ultimate sexual fantasy, and has she ever had the chance to play it out?
Is she more of a masochist or sadist, does she enjoy being in bondage/playing the r*** victim more or toying with some dude etc.
Which outfit does she think is the sexiest?
Has joining the industry affected her sexual appetite?
Anything funny happened on set?
Her most enjoyable time while shooting, and whether she came.
What's her limit in terms of sex acts, what are the stuff she would never try and what are the stuff she's curious about and might attempt in the future?

These might be a bit lame so feel free to disregard them:oops: Guess I gotta be more accustomed to her work to be able to ask more specific questions.

Will you ever do an interview with a director? I have a whole other bunch of questions for them;)

Kubota Airi is quite cute in an interesting way.

I often wonder how genuine these interviews are. I've read a number of them where the girl has a minder nearby and seems to be reading from a script that she's been given. A few times the girl even looked at the minder and asked what she should say or if it was OK for her to even answer a question. Total mental turnoff, at least for me and makes it seem like the answers are all fake. Would be cool if your interviews could somehow work around that practice somewhat.

As for questions:

I noticed that she's started with some fairly rough/degrading stuff. Lots of deep throating, rimming the guys ass, and sucking on his feet/toes. I'd be curious if she enjoys doing that kind of stuff, does she like being submissive like that or is it just for the camera?

Since you're writing for Gaijin, it would be cool to get some opinions on that. Has she had sex with a foreigner before? Did she enjoy it? Would she consider it? What's her opinions of foreign guys from different countries?

Related to foreign interests, has she ever had Anal? What does she think of girls who shave their pussy?

Because I'm obsessed with Gokkun, does she like to swallow? Has she ever done it before?

And then of course the usual porn questions are always fun:

How old was she when she first had sex?
How old was the guy?
What did they do that firs time? Did she enjoy it?
Does she like older guys?
What's the oldest guy she's been with?
What's the craziest thing she's ever done sexually?
Do her parents/family/friends know what she does?
Does she have a boyfriend?
Etc...

Rather! It's nothing wrong to be redundant. Many of the same questions, e.g. how did you enter the industry, what/when/who was your first time, etc are interesting questions for each and every JAV idols. So please do interview each idol with these typical questions.

I have a few very personal questions to add:

Do you have one (or more?) boyfriend or partner?
If the answer is no, are you getting enough sex?
When you are not working, how often do you like to have sex?
Do you masturbate? Can you tell us how?
What comes first (priority)? Sex or love? Meaning do fall in love with someone from his sex appeal? Or do you fall in love with someone (his personality?) first and then wish to have sex with him?
Have you ever found yourself more horny than your boyfriend/partner?
If your boyfriend want to do a 3P, would you agree to it?
Do you yourself want to do 3P in your personal sex life?
Have you or can you find a boyfriend or husband who can accept you working or have worked in the sex industry?
Is sex very high priority for you? Do you get horny often? Is that an important factor for entering the industry?
Is money a big factor for entering this work? (you need to be a very good interviewer to get an honest answer! LOL)
On the day of your DVD's release, do you pay attention to how well it sells? How does that make you feel?
Do you ever think about all those stranger masturbating to you?
Have you been a callgirl or soap-land hostess? How do you like or compare working in AV vs. hostess?
Do you like to have your boobs or nipples played with or sucked?
Do you like a man (or woman!) eating your pussy?
Don't you think the foreplay in AV is too long? Do you have such long foreplay in real life?
Does size matter?
Do you like the taste of penis? Of sperm?
Do you have to perform some sex act in AV that doesn't give you pleasure? Do you think you are good actor?
How do you family and classmates and friends reacts to your work?

And for Ms. Kubota Airi particularly:
You haven't made AVs for a while (according to my search) what have you been doing for a year?
In TGAV-063 you performed some fetish (bondage and candle), have you done such things before?
Do you enjoy S&M? Do you ever wish or fantasize about a man forcing himself on you?
Do you like sex when you are tied up?
Do you ever want to tie up or mistreat some men?

Finally: Other than sex and relationship and men, what topic do you most care about? (the rest depends on your skill as interviewer)

Kubota Airi!!! Say whaaaa~~

I don't have any weird pervy sex questions for her. Just let her know that a certain loli fan from America thinks she's super adorable and wants to pinch and squeeze her cheeks, in a non-creepy way of course lol.

Ok, so I thought of a question:
How do you feel about being a small, cute loli?
Strange question I guess, not really sure what kind of answer I'm looking for. But as a guy who watches a looot of loli JAVs I always wondered how they feel about being small and tiny. I personally find it absolutely endearing, but I'm sure that most women and men prefer tall, busty and sexy.

Since there are no pics of her:

She is super tiny. Kawaii
I think her height (or lack there of lol) in these covers have been exaggerated

here's a cover with less camera trickery, still tiny though :p

she can be sexy too

If you ever have the opportunity to interview Sarasa Hara/Iroha Natsume, you should ask her (1) if she would be surprised to know that she is the most fan-subbed JAV star having the most amount of movies translated to English by fans and (2) if she ever shoots a "fan appreciation" style JAV would she consider including the members of the fan-subbing group as participants.

Admittedly the last question is a bit self serving.

:)

That was a good one. ;) Maybe she will join the soapland industry at some point. Then you can have her for about 60,000 Yen for 30 minutes. :p Means if they allow foreigners...

Right there is an excellent discussion point for how to promote JAV idols to the world. Of course any kind of physical contact (sex!) between JAV idol and world fans is out of the question for now. But there is a lot of business opportunity that JAV industry/idols can explore. And world fans (many may have never legally bought a JAV product) have money to spend on AV-related products and service if only there's some channel.

Of course you also have to consider WHY you are promoting AV idols to the (English) world now, when the industry have ignored it for so long. If you only managed to increase the usage of torrents and filehosts there's no benefit to the idols or the AV companies. The industry will end up deciding not to deal with the troubles of foreign business (again), and you will be out of a job (blogging AV idols in English). You have to find ways to capture income from world fans.

I have lots of ideas ;) that are free of (international) legal problems and cultural gap (gaijins who don't know how to behave).

Actually I have a few questions for the directors more than the idols and was wondering if you would be able to interview them as well.

I would like to know what they think of the fact that many outside of Japan now consider JAV the best form of porn? How open they would be to listening to ideas coming from outside the country (in terms of a plot or a theme for one of these films), or feedback on their own series. How do new directors get into the industry? and finally will they make use of things like kickstarter and other such services?

I have too many detailed questions for just one post....

Most directors start at the bottom and work their way up. If you're in Japan and speak Japanese and have the appropriate visa, it's total possible to work at a studio doing grunt work before being given the chance to direct.

Studios receive mail all the time from fans about ideas so a random email in English with an idea the probably heard before will probably fall on already stuffed ears and just be ignored. Sorry, but that's the truth.

Kickstarter? I'd be surprised if you ever see a studio that's been around for awhile do anything that net-centric. I can possibly imagine some new amateur filmmaker testing crowdfunding for a title, but it probably won't get far.

I know a random email in english wont be of much use, but what would it take to actually make something come to life?

In terms of art comics and games so much has evolved over the last few years, the lines of communication between the makers and the consumers/fanbase have been more open in recent times. The porn industry both in Japan and other parts of the world have embraced a lot of digital trends and have also been early adopters of things like VR. Wouldnt more open communication with a broader fan base be useful for them? This forum is an example of how people from all over the world prefer JAV to other porn, would listening to a few ideas from a different perspective really be such a risk to them?

A while ago I was fortunate enough to meet someone who worked in the anime industry. I spoke to him about the functioning of his studio and how it was run, to me it seemed like they stuck with the system which they knew. He said that by the time he was director that was the only way he knew to work, and thats why they stuck to their system until some independent artist single handedly created a film, which caused them to re think their way of doing things. Maybe its the same with the JAV industry?

Birsha's right. If you have a great idea and definitely want it made, get your idea professionally translated to Japanese and have someone deliver it to them. Hell, fly yourself out there and hire an interpreter. Also offer to foot part of the bill for production. This may all sound fanciful but I do know of examples of AV movies being made this way (i.e., with huge help from a private individual outside investor).
