From what I've read, the admins over there aren't very proactive in letting people know what's going on and they usually go silent when they work on updates, maintenances and stuff.

Here it takes many days if we do something as simple as moving to a new server host so it can take a lot longer if there are actual problem for a big site.

Rumor has it that they got hit by a big DMCA thing and they have to clean up a lot of stuff. No clue how reliable that information is or not though.

tube websites are hit by DMCA notices a ton, and they are still there. If your host company takes DMCA notices seriously, they still give you time to either delete the requested content or transfer your website to another host. Unfortunately, their staff doesn't care about the community otherwise, they would have at least put a temporary homepage.

Discord can kick you out without warning. I've seen discord servers from here being deleted.

I doubt it's coming back by now.

I'm not really sure the DMCA theory makes much sense since it wasn't really a sharing site, like I could understand if THIS place was hit since that is basically all this site is. Also the DMCA law is American so it wouldn't make sense to be hit since nothing American was on there and sites that could fall under that category like websites as caribbeancom were banned there for that exact reason.

The video number(DVD/BD code) is a safe way to search since that's pretty much always included for JAV in most places, but many have the japanese title too on sukebei. It all depends on whatever information the uploader provided for what will work in the search.

Here we make the code mandatory to make sure there's an easy way to find anything, but even then some people make mistakes or write it wrong so it always depends on the uploader.

There is some confusion between REBD\REBDB and other similar codes.

Yes, most maker(and download sites) use the DVD code to identify web files instead of making a new unique code and uploaders don't mention their sources so we ended up implementing using the DVD code(REBD for example) for SD and BD code(REBDB for example) for HD when available so someone could find the video with either codes.

It's not ideal but it's the simplest solution we came up with and despite my best efforts to explain it in great details here, most(if not all) uploaders have a really hard time understanding it, partly because most uploaders here don't speak english that well and partly from a lack of willingness to do more than the absolute minimum of work they need to do to not get in trouble.

Rebecca(REBD\REBDB) is even worse because the number part is different for the BD code than it is for the DVD, which is why it's so important to have both code return the same video.
