JAV actress retirement

Hi Guys,

I just feel discomfort with they way how recent JAV actress retired from the JAV industry, before 2010 era, almost all the famous JAV actresses have their proper retirement, they made a farewell video (even i remember that An Nanba has 7 diferrent farewell videos from 7 different studios), but whta happen with current actresses ? now they just suddenly disappear withot any announcement, we, the fans just keep guessing will they release their new video or just they just disappear/retire..o you guys know what happen to them ? one of the worst example is prestige studios, a lot of thei actresses just fisappear without propper announement or retirement, and for now i just keep guesing about Haneda Ai (a legend with almost 60 videos, but just disappear), Misaki Laura (disappeard from prestige, re-appear in prestige, move to idea pocket, and now she doesn't release any videos for almost 3months, is she retired ?), and Miyazaki Rinon (first i hope she become the next big thing, but after 6 videos in idea pocket, now she also disappear), so do you guys know what happen to 3 of them, or to the other actresses that just disappear ? why now they don't make any farewell video ? I think is the fact that the industry is changing/evolving. We are seeing more JAV stars appear in non-JAV roles. Not to mention the fact that I think 'retirement' doesn't mean much to the industry now seeing how some of them will just pop up in another studio. I agree that the actresses should have a farewell video or something though. It's unfair to her fans.

Another example I can think of is Shino Utsunomiya from S1. I am a frequent visitor of a Chinese JAV news site. People on the site went absolute ham when S1 didn't announce a new video for her last month. It didn't help the fact that S1 is going to release a collection next month for her. Anyways, people finally calmed a bit when they found out there is going to be a calendar of her in 2015 under her real name.

Does a performer who made only 6 films deserve to have a retirement video? I thought that retirement video is only an honor given to the stars, sort of like an life-time achievement award.

Because not everyone who does Jav think of it as a long term career, I mean in Ai Haneda case she's been in the industry for 4 years that's a pretty long time.

Some get married and start families, some try to be actresses, etc....there are many reasons and not everyone wants to be found..

I don't have any specific examples, but I would guess that the pounding they take in many of these films wears them out. This is just a feeling, but I have heard this mentioned by several western porn actresses, especially those who do gangbang features.

From what I understand , the name 宇都宮しをん (Shion Utsunomiya) is the name she used/using in her JAV career. The name 安齋らら is the she one she's using for photo-shoots. The 2015 calendar is going to be under the name 安齋らら. I should correct myself, I am not sure which name is real, but either way.... if you do a quick search on 安齋らら, you will see some pics of her.

I don't know how old this is, but she does have a photo book titled 神之乳安齋らら新寫真集「Hello,Goodbye]~

Like the other posted, JAV is not a lifetime career for most of the girls working in it. Even mainstream media is rarely a lifetime thing. If you follow JAV and/or Jpop long enough you will notice a huge number of young girls (and boys for the idol industry) who shows up, be the HOTTEST thing for a couple years and gracefully and quietly walk into the sunset.

Think of it as college football or basketball (in USA), you get full court prime time coverage for a few months, even a few years but by and large they don't get drafted into NFL or NBA and ended up with a normal life. Which is fine, it's a spectator sport.

Like in US college sports, most JAV performers (especially the unending parades of "amateurs") simply made a short term career (or even as part-timers) while their bodies were youthful and then when an opportunity comes (find a husband, or education or job) they just leave, without goodbyes or fanfare.

And isn't JAV a spectator sports too? You get only a few hall-of-famers, and they do make tens or even a hundred film and then a lot of compilation (best of) videos and finish off with a retirement film, BTW, my avatar is Takako Kitahara, whose retirement video is absolutely wonderful and touching. Oh if only one JAV deserved subtitle, it's this one. I'd so love to understand all her reminiscing over her short (30+ vids) but amazing career.

But... mostly we want fresh young faces, and it's a little sad once we see a good one she may or may not last very long. But you know it's JAV not a marriage. It's better to sample fresh new girls then to watch them grow old. Would I love to see Kitahara keep making JAV? Absolutely, at 28, I'm sure she's still as lovely as ever. But I'm just as happy she disappear from the scene and ... no news is good news, hopefully she's settled into a normal happy life.

The way it works in US is much worse for both the performers and the viewers. Once a girl makes a porno, she's forever branded as human garbage in mainstream society, she can't find a normal husband, she can't work in, say, education. So she keeps making porno and since her future as a normal person is hopeless, she's more tempted into drug abuse and starting at 35 (or even much earlier) she will be doing endless botox, skin tugs, not to mention progressively larger implants. A torture for her and not much better for us the viewers.

Yes Sasha Grey is great. Along with Jenna Haze and Stoya are a few US porn stars that I like. But Sasha Grey is only 26, Stoya 28 and Jenna Haze is already 32. Sasha Grey's typecast is more S&M so ageing is less of a problem. Stoya has a youthful look so she may have a couple more years. I haven't seen any film of Jenna Haze for a few years. And frankly I'm a little afraid to find how she looks now, in HD. Actually I had not realize Storya is so old until I looked it up now. It's not like they were erection-defeating, you know. But when I see women making porn well past their prime, and maybe those were the lucky ones. And knows that a lot of lesser US porn stars had no other outlet then stripping and often worse, it does affects my appetite even when the film I'm watching features a young and beautiful girl. Let's say it's the same young and beautiful girl in a JAV vs. US porn. In a JAV, I can visualize her as a girl friend, even if only a one-night stand. A next door neighbor, a regular girl on the street. But in a US porn, she's absolutely a prostitute, a night walker, i.e., someone I would not exchange bodily fluid with.
