In the late 90s to early 00s EuroPorn was quite excellent. Very hot girls from France, Spain, E. Europe and Russia, many outdoor scenes, group sex, anal sex, French in early days, then heavy-accented English were adorable. The sex were natural (relative to American porn). Then as they got more successful commercially they began to invade US market and then US market swallowed them up and turned them into American porn.
I think JAV situation is not as bad as you say. There are many top idols with decent looking (if fake) tits. Only a few have hard rubber tits. Eimi Fukada, Mio Kimijima, Rinne Toka, Kurea Hasumi. But I think Japan will stick to the natural thing, as a whole. They'll have surgery'd up girls as a niche the same way we do. If they were going to be won over by plastic surgery, man, they had a lot of places to start before making tits bigger. Keep an eye on this new girl. Stats says she's C-cup, but visually she looks B or even B-minus. She's making wave with the (borderline mainstream) media now. Got some good sales and publicity, if she keep up the momentum and ABP- keeps her for a while (> 1 yr) that's promising for natural tits.

I agree, there are a rise of new girls with breast implants in JAV those past few years. I would also add the nose surgery to the bad new trends in JAV. The "good" thing is that those girls are rarely top actresses from big studios, exception for Arina Hashimoto ruined her face with that. Aoi Tsukasa ruined her movies with her boob implants.
I just took a look at R18 popular actresses list and on the first 90 actresses, 21 had plastic surgery (nose, boobs or both). Some are retired but they still seem to sell well.

It really depends on individual taste. A Hollywood actress I like has natural D-cups, and I really like the way they look on her, but if I saw someone with fakes of equivalent size, I'd feel somewhat less attracted - but still attracted though. Her stature is tall, her body not large, but not skinny, just large enough for her height, so the boob size looks perfect.
A smaller girl, about 5'5" or less would look better with smaller boobs. So I guess the smaller women are, the more natural smaller tits would look on them. It's a matter of proportion and personal preference.

Going by a promo picture for this title, they look a little too perfectly circular at the bottom.
Not only do there seem to be more badly done boobjobs in JAV these days, there have also been a few actresses with tattoos lately.
