JAV DVD encryption help

hi all. thanks to everyone who makes this forum possible.

question: lots of new JAV Dvds have some sort of encryption that my Mac can't get around to play in VLC player, nor can I rip the dvds. This makes my dvds fairly useless.

i have tried ripping with:

handbrake
makemkv
vlc

none have worked. any ideas? thank you in advance!

DVDFAB 9 for MAC should do the trick to rip it: http://www.dvdfab.cn/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB9_MAC

I'm surprised makemkv didn't work, it's usually pretty reliable.

thank you sir! there is a type of disc that doesnt seem to work with makemkv. ill give this other software a try.
