It's such a shame really. If porn were to be allowed in China, they would be the no. 1 porn producer and consumer in the world. Also think about how many Chinese women (and men) would be willing to sign up for porn! There would be endless amount of anything you desire (as long as you like Asian gals and guys)! As a side note, the number of Chinese ero cosplayers already rivals those from Japan, I think.

There's already a massive online Chinese community for JAV, but it's too bad the broadcasting heads won't allow it in China. They decide everything what's good or bad from TV to online broadcasts. They even started to ban time traveling themes on main stream TV years ago.

It's garbage.

I'm happy if their popularity in the greater Asia region helps them survive but unfortunately, as far as I know every Asian county has backward laws regarding "porn" and even public decency so future JAV contents can't benefit much from the popularity. At least I'm happy that Siro-Hame/Akibahonpo has an episode filmed in Thailand (or was it in Philippine?) with Thai men banging a Japanese chick and planting their seed inside her lol.

Apparently there are more studios specifically targeting the Chinese market like this (non Japanese) one: https://www.pornhub.com/channels/model-media/videos?o=ra

"Model Media was founded in October 2019, which is the first adult video company accessing to Chinese market. Our films are all in Chinese with Chinese subtitles. Now there are more than 100 films are released."

EDIT: It seems that it's a Taiwanese studio?

Model Media. I think I follow them on Twitter.

Seeing that makes me really happy. Be it Taiwanese or PRC (probably the former), it appears like they have good/great production value, very cute girls, no mosaic, and good variety. In other words, a real legit operation that can give JAV studios a run for their money.

It also makes me happy but their videos are still on the cringe worthy stage IMO because their narrative/story driven videos don't have good direction and acting yet.

I like the interview style vids on the link I posted above where the interviewer and a guy are having fun with the girls. I prefer this kind of direction, which is not unlike those from Siro-Hame/Akibahonpo, especially if you are still a small studio.
