At least for us, we do share revenue with studios, but it has nothing to do with subtitling. We license the content and we do the subtitles and we've never had any issues from the studio-end. If anything, they're thankful that their movies are getting a good subtitling treatment so they become even more appealing to western fans.

I think if R18 wanted to do subtitles, they could easily--at least for studios DMM owns, but they perhaps do not have nor want to dedicate the manpower to this endeavour as it is a timely process that requires both bilingual language knowledge and some technical finesse.

You're right. I didn't really buy the explanation. Also, couldn't they work on the movies that are from studios owned by DMM. There's plenty of translated Hentai stuff, so why not JAV, especially like i said, when you are targetting a western audience.

On a side note, how's the OLGA movies coming along. Any news? You're description of them as being a mix of Attackers and Fa-pro is very exciting indeed.

Motiman: agreed, things like R18's stance on not subtitling and their seemingly slow support makes me question just how much DMM is putting into their foreign venture. I really hope it succeeds. We don't really consider it a rival now and even in the future if they start subtitling. Because even if they do subtitle, it'd almost certainly only be DMM-owned studios and we don't show those movies. Thus, no risk of overlap (and of course there's that pesky DRM issue too).

ORGA is coming along fine. We'll be showing them about once a month starting in April (and April's update by them will actually be a double one running 4 hours!). Good to hear. ORBK-004 looks well produced, and though Kurea Hasumi isn't an actress i choose to watch a lot, i can see why you would have chosen her. I'm excited to see what you guys have up your sleeves, and it's great to see that you will bringing them out at least once a month. I have to be honest, i can't justify the cost of a constant subscription to your site, especially if i'm also buying movies from EroJapanese, but i will try to chip in every few months to 'catch up'.

Great to hear from you R18. Good to get your feedback, though as LimeLemon says, having anime translated is not quite as exciting as JAV as there is already an abundant amount of those being done by fan groups. I am still curious to know why that is, and why JAV doesn't get the same treatment. Obviously, JAV is much more difficult to do and the movies are longer too. Is it simply that there is too much choice, therefore, it's harder to come to a general consensus regarding what to translate.

I still think that R18.com should just employ EroJapanese to translate movies for them, or license some of the 100 plus movie subs they already have on their site. I hope that you could come to a decent financial agreement with them, as well as making them an affiliate of yours to help them gain sales. The work they do is top notch, putting many subtitles that you see on 'professional' products to shame.

The movie stars Alice Miyuki as a naked temptress, enticing all the men around her with her amazing body. I mean she has a truly breath taking, super model quality body and a gorgeous face to boot. The way she performs is also one of her strong points, really looking like she is enjoying having sex on screen and her acting is also top notch. It's just a shame she is now retired, but it is great to go back to one of her earlier titles just to see how great she was, even as a newbie.

The movie itself centres around a guy who just happens to live with his sister, who just happens to be naked all the time. Why is she naked? No idea, but i'm sure the translation will explain whatever nonsense reason that's given. Anyway, why she is naked doesn't matter as simply enjoying her in the buff is what is at the sweet heart of this beast of a movie.



The brother doesn't seem to bothered by the fact Alice is naked all the time, but what is clear, is that the attention she gets from other guys definitely does bother him. Whether it's home visitors, horny delivery boys or creepy neighbourhood stalkers, Alice just seems to attract attention (no surprise there, given just how smoking hot she is), and she is more than happy to oblige to their horny needs and desires.



The first scene has a white suited gentleman come to the house. For some reason she's sorting party decorations, and Alice is more than happy to invite him in. While she is sorting the decorations, he starts to take pictures of her, and rather than being offended and telling him where to go, she is happy to pose for the creep, bending and stretching to all ends. Sure enough, the guy can't stand it any more and springs out his boner, and much to his relief, Alice is more than happy to satisfy him.



I have to say, the performance of Alice is really fun and refreshing to watch. It's so nice to see an actress simply smile a lot, and the light hearted nature of the movie really gives her space to shine. She comes across as so natural and carefree that it's so easy to fall in love with her during this movie.



The scene continues as we see the guy give her a real good pounding, with Alice looking amazing as her slender body just looks so good whether it's as she gets bent over or on top. Her sweet moans just contribute to the intensity of the scene, with plenty of dirty talk throughout. There's plenty of dialogue before the scene too, as we see the two in conversation. What is he there for? Who is he? Why does he have a dodgy white suit? All important questions which need answers, and so a translation is of paramount importance, don't you think?



Next up is the creepy voyeur, who manages to enter the premises having asked to use the toilet. Of course, the dope ends up pissing himself, but fortunately for him, Alice is happy to help him clean up in more ways than one. She gives him a lovely blow job, sucking and licking him to her hearts content. The way she takes charge is so sexy, with plenty of hot dirty talk to bring the poor guy to climax in no time at all.



We have a delivery boy come to the house next. His package contains body oil, which Alice decides is best putting to use straight away. Luckily for our guy, he's the test subject, and we see them both rubbing each other done, getting themselves all sleek and shiny. A great look for Alice for sure as we get the pleasure of seeing her juicy ass get a good caressing. The scene progresses as normal, with some good action and hard pounding. Alice really looks good getting taken from behind, that body of hers arching back just the right amount. We get a decent jizz shot too to cap it off before they can get back to normal as the brother arrives back home.





Finally, it's the brothers turn. He's busy training as Alice comes to deliver lunch, and seeing the strain he's going through, she decides a good relaxing massage is needed to sooth his aches and pains. Naturally, this sort of behaviour can only lead to sex (according to the laws of porn) and so we get a lovely sex scene as the two incestuously engage each other for some hot, taboo action. The guy does his part, but again it's all about Alice to take the lead, and all the better for it, as her skills are more than enough to bring this scene alive.






Overall, a great movie and all because of Alice. Her performance, beauty and enthusiasm are top draw and make this movie a must see. There's plenty of dialogue both during and between sex scenes to justify a translation, and despite a strenuous plot, i believe there's enough in this movie to have chosen it. I hope you feel the same, and even if you don't want the translation, please enjoy the movie nevertheless.

We chose that movie less because it stars Kurea Hasumi and more because of the theme (though she performed *incredibly* well in it!). We've another ORGA movie starring her we'll put up later this year or early next.

It's OK to be honest! I think what we charge though--$30-$40USD/month for access to hundreds of legally-licensed movies with subtitles is a pretty good deal.

Totally agreed. Subtitling JAV is way harder than anime. Why? Because all anime has scripts that are recited by professional voice actors and are recorded in studios. Outside of drama titles, JAV is script-free and the audio is almost always recorded live on set. So sometimes even with major studios, you get titles where the audio could have been better and sometimes it's still nigh on impossible to hear.

I'd be surprised if DMM hires on anyone remotely. It could happen! No need for them to make any attempt license out the titles as unless I've been living under a rock for ages, EroJapanese is not exactly licensing those titles from DMM before releasing them on their site.
EroJapanese actually contacted us before about subtitling for ZENRA and although we think they do good work, we couldn't help but notice they violated the CPS rule (which isn't exactly iron-clad, but still..) in the samples they sent. For English at least, you never want to go pats 15 chatacters-per-second. Too much words with not enough time on screen makes it hard to read them before the subtitles ends.

I was not aware of a CPS rule, but then again i'm not a translator. Yes there can be a few lines which don't give enough time to read everything, but i've always put it down to differences in language. Sometimes phrasing something can be quite different given that both are quite different.

In the past, i've always felt the choice of movies on your site just didn't match my tastes. They tended to be either a fetish movie, or lesbian titles but now with the ORGA titles, it's good to see you joining up with a bigger studio. The quality of the movies are also top rate so it looks like they are well funded.

Oh spelling and correct grammar are of the utmost importance when it comes to subtitling. Nothing worse than an improper sentence in my book.

I have RTP-049 and thought it was decent. It didn't knock my socks off but I found the premise to be pretty interesting, and the movie itself kept me into it - that is once I got over the fact that (like so many JAV movies) NOTHING was going to wake up the other sister!! LOL!

I'm glad you liked RTP-049. Yes it doesn't have the most dialogue ever but i do enjoy this series, and the same premise was done by Natural High before too, mainly due to the erotic build up for each scene, the naughty nature of the sex scene, and the obvious but still slightly discreet way in which the second sister gets turned by the goings on of the first sister.

I've always liked the fact that in the pair of saisters, one is happy to see their mother remarrying while the second is more stand offish, and it's that disparity which makes the build up so good to watch. The more accepting sister is always the first to be done by the father, and seeing the second sister get more and more turned on dispite their obvious dislike of the guy is one of the sexier factors of the movie that i like so much.

A recent movie, DANDY-524, also had a similar theme though it only had one daughter. She was clearly not happy with the new dad, and was constantly pissed off at him for his perverseness. It made her eventual acceptance of him that much more sexier, as she is the one who eventually goes to him for sex a second time.

I think #1 or #2 are better if you're going for the series. Good luck

As i say, i have enjoyed all the movies but i'm not sure about doing the whole series though i wouldn't say no to going back to those first two. Let's see how this one goes. The main reason i am doing this now is because of the new super rate EroJapanese have introduced, meaning that we should get this movie translated at a cheaper price. I have also decided to do the timings for the movie as it shouldn't be too time consuming, plus it may reduce the price even more.
