JAV Viewing Method?

What is your preferred method of JAV viewing? DVD on a TV or PC? Ripped titles on PC? Or on a TV via a media player of some kind?

For me: rips provided from this fine community and others on my PC with no sound. Occasionally some HD content on my TV via a Western Digital wdtv.

i use split screens to view two, three, and four files (or different segments of a file) at once. like many others, i use vcl. for example, on a large screen, i open three instances of vcl. i set up a loop of a different scene in each one. i right click my taskbar and click 'show windows side by side'. that's it. now you have your girl doing three different things at once.

i usually reset the aspect ratio to 1:1 in order to better fit the three windows on the screen. sometimes i'll do two instances of the same scene and horizontally flip one. there's lots of stuff like that to try.

i welcome suggestions for freeware that would aid this endeavor. splitscreens are fun but setting them up can be frustrating.

Never thought of that. I use Media Player Classic for everything except WMV. Mostly because I re-encode to MKV. MPC handles them well for me. Especially the 60fps files. Those, incidentally, look insane on an HDTV.

I like your concept. I bet its nice to look around the screen for different flavors.

I watch on my 27 inch PC monitor. Usually with no sound, but I primarily only download files with Chinese subtitles so I know the "story"...

I suddenly remembered I had seen years back an avisynth script that would window multiple videos as one video in a single player. I'll see if I can find it and post an example.

Okay, barba. Here is the script. It will only work if you have avisynth installed.

Copy the following into Notepad and save it as MultiClip.avs (or anythingyouwant.avs)

# a-d are your source files. I've been able to test AVI, WMV, and MKV. Replace filex with the real file names and extensions

What I do is open Media Player Classic and drag and drop your *.avs file onto it. Looks pretty cool! Let me know if you get it working. No more multiple windows open. :joker:

Okay, if anyone can help me figure one of two things out we may have something awesome! What I have done is taken two 5min wmv clips from agogo.tv titles, used a form of the above script to stack them on top of each other and then used that script as the source to encode to 60fps without the sound. Then I muxed the sound with the video into a single MKV file. The result?

I went from two files totaling 126MB to one file with both videos (in one frame) and both separate audio tracks and it is only 86MB! I then use and avisynth script to play only the top or only the bottom video...but I have to manually change the audio track. I can't figure out how to script the video starting with the correct audio with avisynth.

Other avenue...VLC. I can use a batch file to start the video in VLC but I can't get command line cropping to work to show just the top or bottom.

If I can get either working this would be so amazing to be able to have two videos at the size of maybe 1.3 lease:

Just get avisynth installed. You can check HERE for a link to some instructions for 60fps conversion, which includes the avisynth install instructions.

Attached is what you can get going. Mind you, this is an encoding using the script I posted but without sound. When you do your VLC thing do you use the sound?

Notice the screen size of this video: 1696:960

That is the picture created by the script using the four separate scenes.

I guess this qualifies as a "viewing method" but it also touches on other threads. I took a 1080p FHD 7GB 3hr title and converted it to a 720p JAV60 title with a single layer DVD as the target file size. I have to say the result is amazing. My Blu-ray player is able to play MKV files, so I am a happy camper. I don't have a TrueMotion TV. With this process I don't need one. :joker:

So...my new additional method of viewing is JAV60 HD via TV. :gayprance:

the screens look good. i may try that. as for sound, with multiple screens there are obvious problems listening to multiple sound tracks. but since i don't understand japanese, i really don't need to hear 3 or 4 original sound tracks simultaneously... or even one. this leads into alternative sound tracks. while i don't do this all the time, i confess to having constructed sound loops from multiple sources (erotic phrases a girl has whispered/said/shouted, noises such as laughing/sighing/screamng, and even music). as the video loops are usually of differing lengths and are not synchronized, there is no need to attempt synchronization with the audio. in fact, the randomness of the audio adds a fresh element to the repetitive loops.

sometimes i just watch without sound. sometimes i make little or no adjustments. sometimes i hear a couple of sound bites from what i'm watching and i loop them (keeping the video portion of them off-screen), then mute the open screens. on occasion, i have added audio from western porn in a crude attempt at dubbing in some utterances that i understand. all these things are done on-the-fly by opening more instances of vlc. but i have toyed with the idea of using audacity or some other sound editor to do a more thoughtful job. one could even add in original dialogue with at&t natural voices or some other software. better than subtitles.
