There's an interesting new scene, where you get to see a little bit of how VR is made. VRKM-013-06 You are the male talent shooting your first VR scene. Alice Otsu is here to show you around, and Rika Tsubaki is your co-star. First two parts show behind the scenes - setting up the camera, introducing the crew, talking to the director etc. Then there is a short bj scene from the perspective of the actual actor - so you see the vr camera in front of your face. In two other parts, after wrapping up you decide to fool around with the girls and that's when the actual action happens. Angles are pretty good, as you can expect from Yazawa Receive, so it's worth checking out not only for the novelty.

I haven't watched it, but it does look quite curious, thanks for the heads up. The truth is that it has to be pretty weird to shoot in VR, both for the actor and the actress.

But this is likely not for some of you since they usually don't get fully naked and will leave on some parts of the outfit to fit the theme.

I don't understand a debut movie where you don't even see the whole body.... But well, enjoy it for those of you who like it. I will neither buy it nor watch it.

Emika Shirakami is going to be naked on Wednesday, and with face-to-face scenes, so that makes up for the rest of the clothing-filled debuts of S1 for me....

UPDATE: OK, It's not a debut movie, sorry @chewbaka , my fault. I didn't remember that she already has a VR. Plus it's one with full nudity, so nothing to say. Seems fair to me that if they do one without clothes, they do another one with clothes. So enjoy it.

Bought and watched the debut of Kuraki Haru (SIVR-347).

I really liked it, this is what for me should be a VR debut: the girl slowly strips down and shows you her whole body, and then there are very immersive face-to-face scenes.
Once you've seen the whole actress full naked, then they can film all the VRs with clothes that they want.....

Kuraki Haru is a very pretty girl, tall, and with a great body. She acts quite well for a debut. The movie itself is very conventional, nothing special, but if you like immersive VRs with the camera up close, and sex without clothes, recommended.

Worst of all is the image quality of the 8K version, which is quite mediocre. It is hard to explain that S1, being a reference studio, has the worst 8K image quality of all DMM studios.




I love this perspective, which is getting lost lately in many S1 and Moodyz VRs....

I have been testing an application called Deep Desktop, and it is very curious. It's on Steam for 6 euros / dollars, and you need a PC.
What it does is convert anything you put on the Windows desktop, in 3D, visible with VR glasses, using an AI. That is, an AI in real time to convert photos, videos, games into 3D.

I have tested it with some flat movies (yes, it works with porn... ) and although it is not native 3D and has some glitches, you can appreciate the depth and 3D volume in people and objects. It's quite spectacular, if you don't mind spending 6 euros / dollars. Of course, since it uses real time AI I it needs a powerful graphics card.

Was wondering what you guys think about the "gonzo camera" used in some JAV VR mostly from 2021 to 2023. Maybe also before that but I'm not so familiar with these movies.

It's basically a lighter camera so the guy behind the camera can move freely with it and takes a more proactive approach in scenes. Compared to the "standard" approach where the girl does (almost) all the movement. It's used in SIVR-272, 3DSVR-1288, PRVR-060 and many more.

I'm pretty sure that Kururugi Aoi did one as well but couldn't find it.

In recent times it seems that no studio does produce these kind of movies or it happens only very infrequently / I have missed them. I think it is mainly because that it might induce headaches for some and customers started complaining about it. I never had an issue with that but for the most part didn't like these for other reasons:
- my main issue is the picture quality in general. You can see more artifacts and shimmering around sharp objects. JAV VR is always on the edge with it's bitrate. With a static camera it's less of a problem, but if you move quickly or even slowly with it you can see the flaws that come with it. I also think that 60fps might not be enough with this approach
- Besides that to me there are other issues with the quality. Not sure how to describe it but the picture seem washed out or lacking in contrast, scene are often too bright and seem unnatural. Maybe it's the lighting or just the quality of the camera that is used.

That being said I personally think that this approach still has potential in the future. If these mobile cameras improve and if some studios decide to shoot these in 6k or 8k with 90fps+ at a decent bitrate it might be worth checking out again.

It is a camera that is still widely used. It is used especially by KIWVR, for example, in KIWVR-644 and KIWVR-672. And other studios also use it from time to time, like DSVR-1518, or the future DSVR-1566 and VRPD-018.

I don't like it, for the reasons you mention. First, the image quality is pretty bad. Besides, they are low quality cameras that don't calculate depth well: either everything looks very close, or very far away. But above all, it is quite dizzying. I don't get dizzy at all with VR games, even in the wildest ones, but with this camera I get dizzy right away, I don't know why.

I suppose they will improve with time, but right now for me they don't offer enough quality, and they make you dizzy a lot.

Nowadays practically all VR movies use the same camera shots, to the point that it is difficult to distinguish some studios from others. But there are certain angles that are rare to see, and I personally like them a lot.

For example, this one where the girl sits next to you, or on top of you. The camera focuses on the face, but you can see the breasts from above. I find it very erotic:

This pose is used extensively by Crystal VR. Lying on the bed with the girl looking at you or touching you. It is quite original, although it can be found in some VRs from 4 or 5 years ago, but it is rarely used:

I've already commented that I love backs and butts, but they're disappearing from movies, and I don't understand why. Lots of Moodzy, S1, and KAVR titles don´t show the butt or the back in the whole movie.

I especially like the seated cowgirl position, but from the back. Not when the actor is lying down, that's more common, but when he's sitting, and the back is very close:

In real life I don't do it, but in VR I find it hot, if the girl is very pretty.

As I comment, some of these shots have almost disappeared, nowadays VR is more boring and vanilla than before, because less shots are used, and everyone uses the same ones.

I'm OK with the camera changing positions every so often but if they're going to shake around during the sex scenes because of impact or something than its a hard pass for me.

Ooh...she's yet another nice find by S1. She jumps right into the list.

If I were to rank by fav currently active S1 girls in VR, they would be:

1. Kawakita Saika (for obvious reasons)
2. Asano Kokoro
3. Mita Marin
4. Kuraki Haru
5. Kaede Fua
6. Aizawa Miyu
7. Yuzuki Ria
8. Miyagi Rie

Positions are likely to change depending on the quality of releases, but Saika is probably going to stay on top for me. Quite disappointed that she has only had 1 VR release this year considering she had 6 the previous year. C'mon, we're long overdue for another Saika VR dammit!

A few years ago, I can't imagine even being interested in anything more than a handful of S1 girls at a time. Now there's at least 8 I'm tracking and none of them are plastic like the typical S1 girls.

Emika is likely to jump into that list at either #2 or #3. Unlikely to top Saika for me though, at least not with only 1 video unless she's that spectacular in it.

Yeah, seems like I have missed quiet a few of these. KIWVR is on of those studios that don't interest me at all. They either apply 3 metric tons of oil on the girl or do some weird stuff. But as you said there are plenty of these movies still made and they are not good.

Depends what exactly you are looking for. It's true that prices for SSDs and smaller HDDs are higher than they were a year ago. Best price/TB can be found at the 18TB to 20TB range depending on your region. Those prices are now the same they were 1-2 years ago. Still not ideal but better than the smaller drives. Also not sure if you are willing to spend 250-300 bucks on a 3,5" hard drive.

Yeah I like those two as well. MDVR-295 has many great shots and angles, it's great.
I think the first one is hard to do. The girl has to be in a certain angle. It's not working if she is too far to the left or right. If poorly done it's actually annoying and I skip over it. But if done right it's great.

The second pose is also used by other studio and not that uncommon, MDVR-268 and VRKM-1174 for example. Still it could be used more, I agree.

And finally, the most fetishistic, which was also very common one or two years ago, and has been completely eliminated:

Yeah I think they overused it back then. It was too much for me when the girl did it 2-3 times in a row. Once is fine to me.

You have mentioned some good ones already but here we go...

First would be in the introduction part and the girl and you are standing close to each other. It's not that rare but often done poorly, the girl too far away or at the same height even though the girl is short and so one, but if done right it's great like in JUVR-151 or URVRSP-296. It's similar to the "sitting next to" that you have to hit the exact right angle and the girl must be able to act on it.


I think legs and feet are criminally underused in JAV VR. Not that it is a huge fetish of mine but having a little bit of it here and there would be great. Well done in IPVR-230 were you apply skin cream to Sakura Momo. And I couldn't even find any sex scene where it is used because it is that rare.


I also like when scene have layers which works great with missonary. Like a scene start out and then it gets more intense/the camera gets even closer. Bonus point if they don't cut inbetween an you can see the camera move closer inbetween like in 3DSVR-1321


And lastly something from VRKM-1175, not sure if this is done anywhere else or at least the delivery from Aya makes the difference. Like the cowgirl position but the girl is barely hovering above the guys body. It's hard to see what's goin on on pictures and can only really appreciated in motion

I have about 200 GB left on my 16 TB hard disk... Only VR...

I've been deleting old scenes for 3 or 4 months now but I've reached a point where I don't want to delete anymore.... Looking at prices, here in my country a 16 TB disk costs about 320 euros... It is a lot of money... Let's hope at Prime Day they lower the price....

Oh, yes, YES!!! I thought I was the only one thinking about it. I think the legs, and especially the feet, are underutilized in VR.

I don't have a fetish for it either, but I like that they show the feet if they are nice, with unpainted, natural nails. There are feet that have very painted nails, even decorated with jewelry and things, and I don't like them. But natural feet really turn me on. You see some in the distance in sex scenes, but they're completely ignored.

There are some toe sucking VRs.... But that doesn't turn me on. It's enough for me to watch them, if they're pretty.

if this is done anywhere else or at least the delivery from Aya makes the difference.

This month you will be happy, there are announced about a thousand VRs of Aya...

Bought and watched the Shirakami Emika's 8K debut (SIVR-345). WOW, She is a very pretty girl and has a perfect body. She is very shy and a bit passive throughout the film, and the dialogues seem like she is reading them, or has memorized. But it's normal in a debut, we forgive her.

Immersive face-to-face scenes, some with clothes, the important ones without, lots of kisses and hugs, and all positions. So happy with the movie, not perfect but ok for a debut. It gets very short though, only 71 minutes.

Anyway, in the last debuts of S1 and KAVR, with Emika Shirakami, Airi Nagisa or Nanase Yua, I'm surprised by how serious and passive the actresses are. They are new, true, but you get the feeling that they haven't even bothered to teach them how to shoot in VR. They just put them in front of the camera, and hey, start to shoot... I think they should do some kind of test first, or some kind of course to teach them how to act in VR.

This does not happen with the Moodyz premieres for example, the girls are more natural, joyful and active.
