I am shopping at Afesta still. Yeah, its sad they don't have a lot of new releases. I prefer them cos of the DRM-free.I don't know if there are people here who shop at A Festa VR, but I have been shopping at this store for 3 or 4 years, and I am concerned about how it has almost disappeared.
It used to sell DRM-free VRs from dozens of studios, and when you looked at their upcoming releases, the list had 79 or 80 titles.... Now it pretty much only sells Prestige, DOC VR, and SOD VR titles. And on their release list there are.... zero titles...
I hope it doesn't disappear. Not only because it's the only store that sells DRM-free VRs, but because it's the only one where you can buy outside of Japan....
And their 8K titles have much higher bitrate than Fanza. Unfortunately, it's impossible to buy anything from SOD VR, even if you want to.... Their movies are so... bad.
I'm not against SOD VR shooting weird stuff, they've always done so, and VR needs variety.. But before, at least, movies were immersive. Now some of them don't even look like VR, the girl is always far away from the camera and you just watch...
I still buy some stuff over at Fanza just to support, but I don't really download them. At least not for now.

Yes, it has photoshop but like all JAV photos. It's not one of the worst. Maybe they are not as big as in the pictures, but I think she has almost perfect natural tits.... First day buy for me.

Erm, I dunno. I enjoyed the other OYCYR titles of the same theme. As in these girls have runaway from home and for some reason are using your room as their shelter and earn their keep by well...you know...
OYCVR-099 was awesome and is one of the favorites. It has a stellar lineup of pretty young girls. OYCVR-085 was not bad also, had some recognizable names.
Not so keen on the lineup of this one. I don't know any of the girls in this one aside from Maeda Minami.

Izumi Momoka has already made her debut with Moodyz. She's very pretty, has flawless skin, and perfectly shaped perky breasts with pink nipples. At least I think so, that's the sort of breast shape I like.

True, AJVR-240 could be nice, looks immersive and they try something different, I don't blame them for that movie either. It also has some scenes where the actress looks 'normal'. Let's see how it goes...
Not sure how I would rate Resorevo, but putting them in the same category as Koala, etc. is a little too much in my opinion. I'd say they are at least capable at producing quality content. I personally liked RSRVR-042 but I guess you discarded it simply for Ena's hair color... and it's true besides that their other recent releases were not that great. So they are rather inconsistent but not complete trash.
Not your favorite topic I guess, but you started it... Well I don't know much about Nozomi Arimura, but as far as I'am aware she hasn't done any worthwhile VR in years. The fake tits wouldn't even matter because she simply works with the wrong studios that can't shot VR properly and she also seems to only produce one release per year max.On a personal level, I'm quite concerned that the girls I like are disappearing, and others of third category are appearing, and old glories that have put on plastic boobs when they had already fallen from grace, like Nozomi Arimura or Mio Ichijo....
On Mio Ichijo I have to strongly disagree. She's one of the few cases I can tolerate fake tits and I think she is an amazing actress and looks great regardless. Not sure what you mean with "fallen from grace"? She had a bunch of VRs in the past 6 month with KMP that I liked.
This concept isn't new besides the 'AI' buzzword. This studio had a release in 2021 with an in-mail android before that, HNVR-074 with Maeda Momoko. Beautiful girl, but I think she is long retired. And no idea why they keep releases in 4k... they had used 8k equipment with HNVR-138 month ago...A pity this VR is only 4K, and without face-to-face missionary...

That being said URVRSP-364 with Minatsuki Hikaru look even better. I personally didn't like SAVR-350 (the slutty streamer was a little too much/too unbelievable to me) so it feels like ages since her last great VR.
As it is often the case these exclusive girls look great like you say and I guess they will shot a VR debut with both of them in which they are unfamiliar with the VR cameras. The importent question to me would be: will we see them ever again in VR after the first release?
Moody and S1 are rather slow when it comes to VR, unfortunately. But at least their releases are usually decent.
KMP produces lots of VR but its mostly low quality trash. Even having someone as hot as Ozaki Erika in them doesn't save it most of them time.
I commented on it a few days ago, you must have missed it. For me, another wasted VR with Yagi Nana....

I discarded RSRVR-042, not because of the dyed hair (it's true that I don't like it, but my attraction for Ena is stronger than that), but because there is no close missionary or face-to-face missionary, as I call it.
For me a VR movie is not 100% immersive, if it doesn't have that camera shot, which I think is the most immersive thing that exists in VR: the girl on the bed, you on top, you see the whole body, the penetration, and also the gestures of her face at 10 centimeters. For me that is the ultimate perfection of VR porn.
It is true that Resorevo VRs are not trash like Aqua, Koala, and others, but they are not full immersive because almost none of their VRs have close missionary. The only movie I've liked from Resorevo, which I also bought and find to be an absolute joy, is RSRVR-013. But they have never made anything like it again....
Also RSRVR-030 is absolutely perfect, one of the best and most immersive VRs by Erika Ozaki... completely ruined because Erika wears a stupid mask all the movie...
With Resorevo it's all like that, for me. Either they make movies that are not very immersive, or when immersive the girl doesn't take her clothes off, or she wears a mask, or the girl has fake tits.... they've shot 40 VRs and the only one with everything I like is RSRVR-013.
Nozomi Arimura had moderate success a few years ago when she was making teen movies. But in my opinion she's not a pretty girl, and when she got older and couldn't do those movies anymore... well, the solution is to put on plastic boobs.
Mio Ichijo is a pretty girl I liked, but plastic boobs is a red line I will not cross, ever. Girl who wears plastic boobs, banished forever from my shopping and viewing. Even if they are hypothetically named Ishikawa Mio or Suzumori Remu, to name two of my favorite actresses.

From the photos I discarded SAVR-350. For me it has been years since I enjoyed a Minatsuki Hikaru VR. This one from Unfinished does look very immersive. Plus I think she looks gorgeous with long hair. In all her VRs I have, she has short hair.
It's something I ask myself many times. Moodyz, S1, Idea Pocket, Kawai, Unfinished, they shoot only one VR with many girls that disappear forever.... Some of them are amazing and they have done a good job, I don't understand why they don't shoot more VRs with them.

I'm actually am not a fan of the Chinese outfit thing though, not especially the hair buns. The cheongsams, kind of. as those can be sexy. But I prefer the hair down.

That's true and I've never said anything to the contrary. My main criticism with them but especially S1 was that they are slow while having 100% exclusivity contracts. So they have all these 'assets' but make very little out of them. Compare that to free agents like Aya Konami. Her return was less than a year ago and she has already done over 20 VRs because she can freely choose the studios she works with. That's more than S1 does in 3-4 month with all our their exclusive lineup. So for Aya it's a free market, if she is good at VR and people buy the movies she is in than the studio will produce more with her. Not the case if you are in an exclusive contract with these studios.
I've said nothing about KMP in that regard, but sure, why not make that comparison. What I agree on is that in general the studios you mentioned before have higher quality releases on average, which means that if you take 10 releases of these studios at random than KMP wouldn't be able to compete. But KMP releases at a much higher rate and they also have zero exclusivity contracts which is my main criticism, so bringing them in is kinda besides the point. But let's keep going with the argument. Also as I understand it 'KMP' is a bunch of creators that work more or less independent. So the quality of their releases are all over the place. But some of them know what they are doing.
Another thing is that now even the VRKM label (which I deem lower quality in general than SAVR) releases 100% with 8k cameras for several month now and they have a higher bitrate/picture quality in 8k than S1 because SIVR reduces bitrate to around 50% file size compared to the 4k releases which is a waste imo. Again, they have all these beautiful/exclusive girls but skim on file size more than most other studios. Makes no sense to me if I claim to be the "No. 1" studio.
And I disagree with that KMP is "mostly low quality trash", but tastes are different I guess. For me they had around 10-12 good releases in the last two month.
That's another thing. They also tend to make the 2nd release like that, not my thing either. So now it actually needs 3 instead of 2 SIVR releases which will never happen for most of their lineup.

That was long before I even got into VR and so many studios still struggle with it to this day. Back then SOD even advertised the angle on their artwork with the two neat illustrations in the bottom left.
Kiyoka Igarashi is great. No sure why she hasn't release anything in 2024.
Exactly. The same applies to Moodyz, Idea Pocket, Prestige... The main torture we JAV VR fans have is that many top exclusive actresses only shoot 1 or 2 VRs a year. And we can be thankful for that, because some of them don't even do that. I've been waiting two years for a new Washio Mei VR...
A good example is Kawakita Saika's new VR. I think it's been almost a year since she's shot in VR, she releases a new title, and you don't like.... You're annoyed because now you have to wait another year....
I don't know how many titles she shoots in flat, but there are many more... If she shoots one VR a month, or every two months, even if you don't like one, you know that soon there will be more... But with actresses who only shoot one VR every one or two years, it is torture.
Ichika Matsumoto as freelance, filming a lot of VRs, studios promoting full nudity on the covers (now there are only clothed girls), the face-to-face missionary at its best, SOD VR making immersive and “normal” movies... I think this angle was invented by Yazawa Receive on those SOD VR titles you mention, back in 2020. When I watched it, my head exploded, because all previous VRs were immediately outdated.... As you say SOD promoted it for a while because it was the new big thing, but sadly they rarely use it in the last two years. Reason why I hardly buy anything from them. Luckily it's very common with Moodyz, S1, and to a lesser extent, Kawai and Unfinished, that saves me.
Not to say that 100% of the VRs I watch have that face-to-face missionary, but 100% of the movies I buy do. I have VRs without this camera shot, but they are of actresses who have very few movies. In the case of Ena Satsuki in RSRVR-042, since I have several Ena movies with that camera angle, this film didn't add anything for me.
S1 has the worst 8K image quality of all JAV VR by far, along with Aqua (which is a disaster in everything). As you say, they brag about being #1, have amazing actresses, and then deliver the worst 8K image quality of all JAV VR...
