My recent favorite is FCVR-029 with Rena Momozono

She's pretty new to vr, but she's a great performer. I hope she will shoot more soon. She has an amazing curvy body and i love her expressions. The scene is mostly focused on closeup angles, so its very intimate throughout.

Rena Momozono is amazing, and FCVR-029 is in my Top 3 of 2021, I recommended it a little further back.

She has an awesome body and I love her facial expressions, too. It's a pity that she only has two VRs. I hope we see her in many more, I'm looking forward to it.

Unfortunately Fitch releases only one VR per month, and I think Rena works exclusively with them.

Sora checks quite a few boxes for me. Short hair, slightly unique nose, just... cute.

I love a distinctive nose, Karina has that, but I've mainly seen flat JAVs with her in it... and they're hit or miss with me. Plus her butthole has taken far too much abuse and it shows. (I prefer a cute un-walnut-ed butthole)

Rin Oga isn't the best looking, but close up on her body with those tattoos is pretty hypnotic. I bought 3 from afesta but they all require special players. (Super bitter)

Unfortunately the director of all these scenes Yazawa Recieve (https://twitter.com/yazawa_recieve) recently announced that he left SOD after 9 years. From what I understand (i dont speak japanese so can only use machine translation to read his tweets), he will continue to produce VR videos.
You are right other studios are adapting this technique too, but they were rather disappointing i.e. KAVR-203. I hope other studios will improve it further, and Yazawa will quickly return to producing VR for another studio.

I am happy to see that he see his unique filming angle being used again. I hope there will be some improvement in image quality too as though his SOD releases were amazing, sometimes the image quality was a little blurry. KM Produce are pretty good in that regard.

For me KMP is the worst JAV VR company, from the point of view that it could be the best. It has the best cameras and the best image quality in JAV VR, and releases dozens of VRs per month. But most of them are boring, conventional, and always with the same type of scenes. With a lot of clothes and always staying halfway, they record just enough to get a movie out and they never take risks. Completely forgettable titles.

Hopefully with the arrival of Yazawa Recieve they will revitalize their films and finally have some interest.

I don't know if the departure of Yazawa Recieve has anything to do with it, but in the last three months the level of SOD VR, in my opinion, has plummeted. They have released almost nothing interesting, all very boring conventional titles with second-rate girls, lots of clothes, distant cameras... Nothing to do with the spectacular releases of 2021. I hope it's just a bad run, but I'm worried....

I've been watching JAV for years, and before using VR I never noticed the names of the girls, for me it was just watch porn, and forget.

But with VR everything changed. You have another relationship with the girls, you feel a greater closeness and you want to know who they are, and look to see if they have done more VRs, or are going to release more.

It's a very curious thing because I never thought I would learn their names or even spend money on porn. And now I spend more than 50 or 60 euros per month at stores like A Festa VR or SexLikeReal.

I LOVE Sora Shiina. It is a tragedy that She does not have good VRs. Most of them are very old, and they look bad.

And the newer ones are pretty bad, with distant shots and unattractive scenes.

For sure. Sometimes I'm less picky about certain things because sometimes the half clothed intimacy is 5x sexier than the stuff you'd see in flat.

I don't currently have a membership to SexLikeReal but I've gotten stuff from them in the past. They have a great selection of (western) pregnant videos... love seeing the bodies in VR Japan needs to step up and get some preggos... VR is still a small market, and Japanese companies do not take risks with titles that go outside the mainstream.

Hopefully with the popularity of Quest 2 the market will grow, and we will see more varied titles. I hope so.

Yes, I'm concerned it's old too, but just want a good bukkake VR title to try out, are there some great bukkake titles that have come out, it seems that r-18 won't filter VR and bukkake together as it shows zero results, so it's hard to find anything in this genre. To me VR is at its best when it lets you "experience" a scenario one would normally not get the chance to experience, bukkake fits the bill for me and I've always wondered what it'd be like to participate in one.

I would agree with that in case of western VR, but i find JAV are better at giving every performer something to do. Kissing, licking, massaging etc. Also they are quite a bit less noisy, western harem scenes are almost impossible to watch with the cacophony of everyone competing to be the loudest.

I don't expect anything from VRKM, they always go for the easy and safe way, always doing the same kind of scenes.

Idea Pocket has some incredible performers. Minami Aizawa, Kana Momonogi, Momo Sakura, just to name a few. Yume is definitely near the top.

You are very right about KMP. I could never put the finger on it why, eventhough their visual quality was excellent and videos very highly rated, i never really liked a lot of their scenes. 100% agree.

You are right about SOD although i really like this recent 3DSVR-01123. They are using a half underwater angle which is pretty cool and works really good. Its something i havent seen before. Generally speaking i do like water/oil on the skin because the reflections do let the skin look more real in the headset

Regarding names of the actresses: I still find it difficult to remember japanese names, but now with XBVR/Heresphere i am able to filter the videos by talent, so i guess i have to learn them

I know that JOI scenes are quite popular too, but they arent really appealing without understanding japanese.

Regarding older scenes, to be fair this was the award from Year 2016 to 2021 (so the best scenes in the last 5 years, so it would be suprising if there werent any older scenes that may not be the best visual, but may have a really good plot/acting). For more recent scenes you can also check out the awards from the last 2 or 3 years (i think the switch to 'Takumi' (=60fps) was taking place around July 2019).

As of today r18 ist listing more than 11.000 VR scenes, so checking out the awarded titles is sometimes helpful to find some hidden gems.

Yes, you are right. We rely on visual aspects, but they also take into account the plot and dialogues, which unfortunately we miss.

Although for me a porn movie with good plot and good dialogues, but with a lot of clothes, far away camera and little sex , is still a bad porn movie....

I hope that artificial intelligence will soon allow us to translate Japanese dialogues to English or other language subtitles in real time, while we watch it. That already happens on Youtube, I don't know if it can already be done with our local files.
