Does this mean what I think it means? That if I want to download all content posted here at Akiba I'm going to have to buy 2 seperate premium accounts, one for K2S and one for Fboom? Because that's what it now looks like.

That is exactly what it means, which completely defeats the stated goal of having a single preferred host.

try
Profile => Main Settings =>Default Upload Folder
Tried that.. doesn't work.
It works fine, but that doesn't help me at all. I need to be able to upload to (at least) 2 separate folder without having to log on all the time and change that setting.
What if I want to queue 2 uploads, one for k2s and the other for fboom? It's way too troublesome right now if the only way is to change the default ftp upload folder(or not) and move the files afterwards.

Oh, I upload using Filezilla as that seems to be the only ftp program that works on moneyplatform.
It's working perfectly fine with FlashFXP which I use(but it's not free).

You need to know what you are posting. But if it happend by accident we give you just a warning by email.
Ok, good to know I won't get banned on the spot if I miss something.

As for the 2 accounts, we could all decide to only use fileboom, there's no point in using k2s at all if it's the same, but with a bunch of restrictions.

Edit: I just had an upload create 4 times the same file with 3 incomplete version(and another file had 2 version) so it seems the ftp stability isn't great on their side(I was uploading to 3 other host at the same time and they didn't have any problem at all).

That's why I said that Filezilla seems to be the only thing that works. I did try to upload with gFTP (Linux program) and while gFTP didn't show any problem, the 2 uploaded files never showed in my list of files. Same with wsFTP and MC.
With Filezilla the files at least show up and so far only 3 incomplete versions on 1300+ uploads.

It's the first time it happened(but I did only upload 180 files) and since there were incomplete files and then a complete one and it went to the other, this means the connection dropped long enough for their server to think the upload was complete and it auto-added it to the file list. This just means that the delay for adding the files is too short so, instead of resuming where it left off, it has to start from scratch since the file isn't there anymore.

My files always show up and there's always a complete version of every files though. I could probably set the reconnect settings to be faster, but I'd rather not since I use other sites that might not like it.

I'm guessing filezilla is more aggressive at reconnecting or it might be able to make more than one connection per files(I don't remember if it can or not) which would make it less prone to completely disconnect.

We have this rule because of MasterCard, MasterCard not allow such content.
This rule is not new we not allow extreme on keep2share since 13 March. And give time to move all extreme files from K2S to FileBoom.
What is extreme (MasterCard version):
r*** Fantasy

No need to go on. How many JAV movies don't have r*** fantasies?

Now im feeling guilty, i told someone like 2 or 3 weeks ago to go for the biggest premium package they have.

And now I feel uneasy whether or not to even get a premium account for months. I didnt think it would be this problematic.

Ok, I'm trying to wrap my head around this after reading the comments here.

1. With K2S service not allowing "extreme" content does that mean that you simply can't post the k2s version links or that it's off the servers completely?

2. The rule requiring K2S links be met by having fileboom.me links or does it have to have K2S period (This doesn't make sense for this site due to the above).

3. Is the logical thing then is to get a fileboom premium and just switch all k2s links to fileboom? As of now I can change out the site name with fileboom and the files are still there, or does the server know that you don't have a k2s premium and stops you from downloading the fileboom version as well? This part bugs me because people are saying you need two premium accounts but if you can just switch the site url out then it's not necessary? (Though it will be an incredible hassle).

I'd like to purchase a premium account but this is getting a little crazy.

Hi Italienbrute,

If you don't have k2s or fboom premium yet, I would suggest that you don't buy either.

You can upload without having a premium account. But.. (maybe because I don't have fboom premium but do have k2s premium) I'm only able to generate k2s links.

And looking at the way thing go at the moment I wonder how much longer Akiba will survive. Noticed that some heavy posters did leave or are thinking of leaving Akiba.

greetings,

As far as I understand it:
1. You can't post them, but they still show up in your account since both k2s and fboom seem to share the servers.

2. For extreme content, you should only post the fboom links, for other content, I'm not exactly sure, I was planning on asking a mod when I get the chance.

3. I'd wait a bit if I were you, just to see how things go.
There's 2 way to configure the files as an uploader:
a) Everything in the root folder can be accessed from both accounts simply by changing the site name.
b) You can move the files to a folder of your choice with the domain set as either k2s or fboom. In that case, if you change the site name to the one that's not set for the folder, you'll get a 404(file not found) error when trying to download.

Personally, I'm leaving everything that's k2s in the root and put the extreme content in different categorized folders so someone with a fboom premium should be able to access all my files(but he'd need to change the site name in the url for the k2s links).
But that's only what I'm doing, there's no guarantee everyone will do the same or that the admin will leave the permissions open for both host in the root folder forever.

keep2shae OR fboom is required no penalties or action taken if one of them are posted, which also means you cannot mirror the other is posted, useless the links are down

please give GeffG of keep2share a little longer, to get used to us here at akiba, and our needs

there is a problem, and that has been recognised, and they will be looking into several matters, because of local holidays, staff is very few there, and they are manning there offices 24/7, for any other problems that arises, to keep the servers running 24/7,

we are in communication with them, and they are willing to move forward with us

All I need them to fix is the crazy 20GB per day. Most follower complaint and forcing us to switch filehost.

I see this as confirmation that downloders will require two seperate Premium accounts if they wish to be able to access all content posted here.

Please tell me I'm wrong.

No doubt at a higher price than standard Premium, and once again, requiring two Premium accounts if you wish to be able to access all content posted here?

Please tell me I'm wrong.

Sorry to inform you, but I don't have those folders. No Keep2share and no FileBoom folder. And no matter what I tried, I can only generate k2s links.

Mmm, maybe my Jades aren't considered extreme and don't need to be moved. Anyway, if I get a Fileboom folder and you find that I need to move my files to that folder, then please change my k2s premium in a fileboom premium. Or better, give me a free fileboom premium.

Don't think you are wrong, unfortunately. I think that keep2share's only goal is to make a lot of money as fast as possible. Just as it started to grow and many uploaders started to use it they demand to move your files to fboom.me (but that is the same company). Reason... the official one is of course different, but I think it is only to sell more premium accounts.

If this goes on the way it goes right now, then you have to move everything to whatever.me in about 6 months as fboom.me will no longer accept any extreme content. Oh... by that time we (the keep2share company) have sold many many many new fboom.me premium accounts that are no longer useable for anything. Like my current k2s premium, only good to download soft porn and maybe some cracked programs.

BTW, dear k2s, the minimum upload space I get from almost any hoster is 1 TB and most won't delete anything. Many hosters offer even more space. Why do I get only 300 gig with 90 days online and 200 gig with 30 days online (after the last download that is). Is it that you don't have enough servers to host files? Spend a bit more money and buy more space and give us more space to store our files.
THAT is the primary reason why a file hoster exist!! HOSTING FILES.

You don't need the ones they created for (almost) everybody, the first thing I did is delete those.

You can create your own and then you set the domain as fileboom and it will be fileboom only(or to k2s for k2s only, or to nothing for both, but I'm not 100% sure about that one since I haven't tested it yet). Uploading has nothing to do with downloading so I doubt they'll change your premium account, but it's worth a try.

And yes, they're saying you need 2 premium accounts to download everything which is ridiculous. It would be better if they changed everybodies premium to fileboom and that it would become the only official host, k2s is useless with all the restrictions.
