thanks to this great thread guys - i have been a usenet user since the mid 90's - back then there were loads of good groups which were on topic and many regular contributors. I ve seen usenet go up and down in popularity and even talk of it dying off but it still keeps on going and this year it has become popular again due to the megaupload crisis. Long may it continue and along with this thread which I have recently discovered.

I am becoming a big fan of lesbian JAV and hope to learn more about the studios who produce them, the classic releases, which series are worth collecting etc

I guess that there is no single guide or resource to lesbian jav and its a case of learning yourself through threads like these. I know of slimedogs thread but i cant be bothered with DDL's .

once i begin to build up my collection i will be happy to help post requests or fills. Nowadays its not the downloading its the storage - i need to invest in a 10 bay NAS enclosure and just keep adding 3tb drives.

I use WD My Book 3TB external hard drives. They are pretty cheap and I'm quite happy with them so far after about a year of use.

No stability problem that I've noticed so far, but I do plan on putting them in a raid array server when I have a little more funds to build one, just to be on the safe side.

Powerpost never detected properly the size of PAR2 files so unchecking "Autodetect .PAR2 block size" in the settings will solve it.

I posted in their forum asking about it, but I never got any decent answer. I eventually remembered that I saw the same problems many, many years ago in the A&A version(which is why it was disabled by default back then)

I'm the same I even had to stick a old 80GB drive in an enclosure I bought on amazon.

All my drives are under 1TB or are 1TB drives so I cant comment on the stability of over 1TB drives. I must have burned out at least 80 DvDs also because I'm that low on space but like any addict, I want MORE!

If all combined together with drives and DvDs then I prolly have close to 3TB of Jav Its scares me the prospect of fast Broadband because I've just been offered 80mbps fiber optic and I think I'm going to pass Unless I can invest in a few bigger drives, very soon..

Jesus guys, I've been at it for over a decade, dumped a ton of DVDs and deleted some digital copies, have maybe abt 4TB total. Selectivity is the key! Not all is golden. You'll be better off in the long run if you weed out the old and the bad.

I have a couple of 1TB> drives and they have worked pretty well. I stick with WD for the most part. I have a couple of non WD portables, too, and have had no problems or failures. Generally a quality drive is a quality drive unless you don't take care of them.

WOW!! how much are they quoting you for the 80mb? I have 30-down/5-up and i am very happy with it.
