Define "Lolitas" please. It is a slang word derived from the spanish term "lola", (which means sorrows), and made famous in the, not so fantastic but still popular movie "Lolita", which I believe was the name of the starlets character, (it has been some time since I have seen the movie, I didn't find it worth watching a second time).

If you mean "a sexually attractive, seductive or precocious young girl" then there are too many to mention. Playboy has seen their share of under eighteen sexy nude photo submissions and photo shoots though except for one exception they were not published until after the model was eighteen, (an interesting way to skirt the law that I did not know existed). These models include: Dorothy Stratten, Cynthia Myers, Susan Bernard and of course Elizabeth Ann Roberts.

Of course these girls pale in comparison to the provacative Traci Lords who starred in her first porn movie at the age of 16.

Many a famous young actress has played the seductive young girl. Brooke Shields made her fame and fortune doing it. Some of my personal favorites were Drew Barrymore, (Poison Ivy is a classic seductress movie), Jodie Foster, Linda Blair, Winona Ryder ( she was 17 when they shot "Heathers" although it wasn't released until she was 18), Alicia Silverstone and the list goes on and on.

Teen movie stars are fairly common but the test of a every great actor/actress has been to make the transition to mature roles and that challenge is a test many still face, and fail, even today. Two famous examples of this are Shirley Temple, (who could not? be confused as a lolita? she tried), and the Olsen Twins whose fame reached great heights in their youth but have failed to develop into great box office success after they reached 18.

Being a fan of Cinema that is about all I feel qualified to add on the subject. Not sure why anyone would want to do a documentary on it though. No matter how hard you try you are going to do somebody an injustice and there are a lot of beautiful and talented people who will be left out because of their age or because of the roles they portrayed.

Which was adapted from an equally popular novel from Vladimir Nabokov. In the book, Lolita is 12 and half years old. Nuff said.
