Lost parakeet tells Japanese police its home address

May 3, 2012
A parakeet that escaped Sunday from its home in Yokohama, Japan, has been reunited with its owner after belatedly telling police where it lived, the Kyodo News agency reports.
Fumie Takahashi's bird flew its coop in the Sagamihara district on Sunday. It made its way into the city center, flying into a hotel and perching on the shoulder of a guest.
Police took the the baby blue budgie back to jail, where for three days it demonstrated it was no stool pigeon. Then Tuesday night, it suddenly piped up, reciting its address in the concrete jungle, right down to the block and house number, Kyodo says, by way of the London Telegraph.
"We had not expected his owner to be identified in this manner," said one officer.
Smart bird. Smarter owner.

This story is for my friend Megatroll...enjoy my friend! :grassdance:

North Korea had a similar story but they ate the bird before it could sing it's address...

According to video footage released by WikiLeaks, the baby blue budgie was taken to a secret, off-shore location and only "piped up" its address after being water-boarded for three days.

Further allegations are that the budgie was held in a cage which was covered in black cloth for long periods of time, was repeatedly forced to stand on one leg and was fed only small seeds during its captivity.

The budgie has denied statements made by unidentified authorities that it repeatedly violated no-fly zones around Yokohama parks.

...and forced to listen to endless hours of Barry Manilow music sung by Alvin of the Chipmunk fame. :scared:

Here is a picture of his water boarding executioner...

Yokohama police today confirmed reports that four suspects were being held for questioning in the disappearance of the blue budgie. A department spokeman declined comment on rumours that the detained suspects were possibly involved in a botched kidnapping-for-ransom scheme involving use of a budgie body-double.

The four, previously known to authorities as members of a local bosozoku, are pictured below.
