Noticed something a bit shocking to me. In DMM monthly AV actress ranking, she is missing?!
Ok, so personally I do rank her a bit high... Perhaps top 15, if not top 10. So an official ranking places her lower is understandable for me. So I am just shocked to Nth degree she doesn't reach top 40, ok at least top 50.
But me gods... she doesn't even make top 100 in DMM's monthly ranking. What's going on??? Does she really have no presence in the AV circle??

It's been awhile since Mao has released any VR videos with the exception of BZVR-014 which is a re-release of her section from BZVR-001. The last actual VR with sex was KMVR-381 which was a solowork was released around early April of this year as I recall. She's ranked 35 on DMM atm but for me she's a top 5 star (personally) and her scene's always get me, love her expressions/acting. I know she does quite a few 2d scenes but I just can't watch them after nothing but VR for the last few years, hope she releases a few more scenes especially since the quality of the video's have grown by leaps this past year and rivals western vr quality for the most part.

It's hard to tell which is cause which is effect. I almost want to say she doesn't get a lot of solo BECAUSE she's poorly ranked (sales number).
Another possibility I wonder if she's a bit unstable in real life so maybe moody and difficult to work with during filming and/or other job responsibilities. Obviously I hope that's not the case. She's a bit sex-crazy which makes her so awesome to watch. But being dysfunctional is something else.

Her movies seem to be 50% multi actresses movies and 50% solo movies. I would say Miki Sunohara doesn't have much more movies than her. Not to mention the cute Saki Mizumi. They are freelancers so, it's either their choice or studios focus on newcomers or good sellers. For exemple, it's insane how much new movies Yui Hatano has after all those years. Hibiki Ootsuki also has decent amount of new titles, same for Tsubomi.

We don't get to meet her (not for more than 1 or 2 minutes at least) so all we have to go on is what's on screen and social media. All we have is guessing and speculation. Hmmm... actually you know... we do have a solid piece of data, she's been in the industry 6 solid years (she made porn debut at 18 years old, at least 500 vids so far). She seems to be on edge, but staying on edge for that long, probably she will do this for 6 more years and fans will still be saying "she looks like she can crack any moment".
