micco and Kikuchi Tatsuya met when they enrolled in a same music school. During that time, micco worked as a solo singer and Kikichu is her only musical supporter. Together, they formed The Student's in 1999 and got signed with Warner Music's independent label. But in that time, Kikuchi focused on writing music for other artists. In 2003, the group's name was changed to marble and they signed with Lantis in 2006. marble made their major debut in February 2007 with the single Mebae Drive. Since then, they are known for doing theme songs for various anime series.
