Yeah, Bitshare doesn't work for me either. Really a BullShit filesharing service anyways... It's pathetic how Bitshare goes down on it's knees immediately after they become even a bit overloaded.

BITCH SHARE IS NOT WORKING!

I have just tried Bitshare on 8 different videos with JDownloader. All the links showed up as ONLINE, but when I started to download them, I got PLUGIN ERROR OUT OF DATE on every single link, from two different forums, including Akiba. I Just paid for a month of premium service to BITCH SHARE two days ago!!!

And yes, I do love my country, the USA, but I don't love the FASCIST pigs who are running the FBI and the CIA and interfering with the business of other countries. I am sending an e-mail to Bitshare, to see if they are actually trying to solve the problem or if the SOPA DOG BASTARDS are still threatening people when the damned SOPA legislation did not even pass the U.S. Congress. But the Bush and Obama administrations just do whatever the hell they want to do, regardless of American laws or anybody else's. As I said in an earlier post, I understand why the American government is trying to protect AMERICAN movie companies, but how many Hollywood movies are posted on Akiba? I never downloaded one from here.

UPDATE: I tried Bitshare again at 5:46 pm US Central Time, and the service is working again. Normally I would not post a complaint because a server goes down, but since other members were also having the same problem, I was afraid that we were losing ANOTHER file host. I guess we have to face the fact that our days of internet downloads are almost over. If I were not so old and had a little more income, I would move to Japan and rent or buy my favorite JAV in a great country which is STILL a democracy (unlike the U.S.)

we are all complain for the world gov for doing there job for once. just be happy we where able to do this for so long. sooner or later this was bound to happen and it did. there nothing we can do stop people from crying over spilled milk. look how long these company's have been complaining about this. we where luck to be able to download stuff free. it also came down to these company want to pay people to get more users too. what would happen if they did not pay people to get new people sign up for there file-sharing place. we might not been in this mess.

So again I ask, What is Akiba going to do with their DDL sections as they are just using space on the servers. Most are not going to re-up as torrents, not going to re-up as a DDL as the site will probably go down in the days, weeks months ahead anyway.

I guess I can see keeping the Pics and covers but to what use? Worldwide Unemployment is going up as these businesses close their doors and who can blame them as Servers being seized before a trial and the cost of trying to defend yourself with no income coming in.

The ddl section is still very much alive. There are still plenty of ddl host alive and not every host deleted the files(most of my upload are still there since I was using RS and HF as mirrors) and I reuploaded about 7 movies last weekend at the request of some of my fellow lesbian lovers.

If every single host go down in the near future, then I guess they will have to do something, but as long as there are some remaining, there's no reason to change what's currently in place(except for a good clean up).

The problem with akiba is not with disk space(that I'm aware of), it's with an excess of traffic so a ton of dead threads won't affect the site much.

The problem it's if all sharing sites will close they will let the majors make their own law for the net and I think we don't need majors over the net.

seems that was just a bug and they fixed it. Uploaded works perfectly but I am anxious for bitshare's future now.

Dammit at btjunkie goin.
It's quite shocking how the FBI's shut down of Megaupload has had such an effect on other file-sharing-related sites. :why:

There are guys who are offering themselves as copyright cops. They get people to pay them to send out C&D letters and takedown requests in mass. Some guys make a software to do it, others do it by hand. It is a new industry and they have used the SOPA stuff and the megaupload raid as a business opportunity. They hit other P2P sites besides btjunkie. But as far as I know only two (btjunkie and cheggit) have caved in. These guys are cheaper than lawyers and they can say to pornsitex.com that they got XX number of files removed or got XX to shut down so the porn makers are happy.

Ordinarily I would say this would all blow over once the filehost sites realized that offering "affiliates" money was a stupid long term idea. But sites are shutting down and it doesn't appear that others will step in to replace them.

For purposes of the stuff we come here for, I don't know the effect. It seems that Japanese traders are easily frightened by "Johnny Law," (remember the raids on Winny users). Perhaps if AV makers decide to use these self-proclaimed copyright cops we may have some problems.

Is there any chance of Freenet being able to handle this kind of traffic?
Can it be an alternative possibly?

If ddl uploaders really cared about sharing they would have been uploading to usenet. Instead all they ever cared about was getting downloads and turning that into money. I won't be missing most of these ddl sites and hope it spurs real sharing going forward.

I take offense to be put in the category of uploaders that don't care about sharing(not really, but I would if I could be easily offended), I've earned 35$ in the last 2 years of sharing.

The reason why ddl are better than usenet(and I'm saying that even though usenet is my favorite way to download) is that ddl can be free and you absolutely need to pay for usenet.

I remember at least one thread in the forum where a guy was posting nzb so some uploader are using usenet. maybe it will become more popular with the fall of ddl hosts.

Freenet is horrible, theres a reason it's not popular after so many year, Share and Perfectdark are successful implementations of Freenet in p2p, its maybe the future.
