Alright, now it's the turn of 1924. As previously done, I'm only including those that are known to exist, so a few ones aren't in this list:

1924; Kemurigusa Monogatari (煙り草物語) http://anidb.net/a6845
1924; Usagi to Kame (兎と亀) http://anidb.net/a6844
1924; Ninki no Shouten ni Tateru Gotou Shinpei (人気の焦点に立てる後藤新平)
1924; Houshu no Sasayaki (宝珠のささやき)

The last two aren't yet available in AniDB or World Art, but you can find some info of them in the Japanese, French, German and Italian Wikipedia and of course in other Japanese sources:
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/幸内純一
http://www.tokyoanime.jp/tafweb/taf2006/ja/news_a/20050923_02.html

I love finding this unknown animations. And it's always nice to see the history of anime from a broader perspective.

Some more meat to look for:

ミナミの帝王 (Minami no Teiou)

I'll just say this is originally one (endless) manga series that gave another (endless) live movie series, and a two-OVA (not so endless) series. Is it about gambling ?

97 volumes, eat that Naruto!
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=18103

the two anime VHS
http://www.jbook.co.jp/p/p.aspx/179735/s
http://www.jbook.co.jp/p/p.aspx/179736/s

All material is in VHS (some live movies on DVD) only, published by SBS/KSS.

In my list there should be two series of two episodes, but I think it's more like two stories per OVA, so two OVAs only. No cover on yahoo auctions (only the live movies).

Excellent! As always, it's nice to find new anime not found in some DB. By the way, this one, while it was not on AniDB or World-Art, besides ANN, was also in Animenfo and allcinema. Not much information though, except that it has some OST for the OVAs, at least two. The best source for info is the Japanese Wikipedia entry actually.

Time for 1925. This time I'm including all known anime from that year, as most of it either has a picture (which means they exist) or are confirmed to exist.

1925; Nonki na Tou-san Ryuuguu Mairi (ノンキナトウサン竜宮参り) http://anidb.net/a6630
1925; Obasuteyama (姥捨山) http://anidb.net/a6830
1925; Shiobara Tasuke (塩原多助) http://anidb.net/a7004
1925; Kokka o Suku e (国家を救へ) http://anidb.net/a7169
1925; Sameyo Yuukensha (醒めよ有権者)
1925; Yosan Seiji (予算政治)
1925; Shisei Sasshin (市制刷新)
1925; Tsubo (つぼ)

Now, with this year, I had to use other sources instead of AniDB or World-Art because they only had three of them. For the rest I found confirmation of them since they were in other sources about classical animation. I wonder why they aren't as widespread available as American animations.

I´ve added Wolf Guy to the list already, as well as I linked ep. 1 of Shin Otokogi.

But - as I think - atm it hardly makes sense to add these old releases to the list as there hardly is any chance to find any of them. Or what do you think? The "videos" (if that phrase could be used at all for these "films") normally are not available in the web...

Yeah, I agree, they should not be added to the main list. It would be discouraging for most because they are even more scarce than old animations from Europe or America. Once I get to 1963 with Tetsuwan Atom and forward, then they may be added to the list. Until then, they are just reference material for anyone who by my mere luck might find them and share them.

Alright, time to resume my search. This time, I've decided to skip a few decades to start with the good stuff that may be more easily found. But it turned out that it will be more discouraging because of the great number of anime which have no rip at all.

I've covered anime from 1963 to 1965. As you can see, over 80% from the anime produced in those years is missing a rip of any kind. Is it a good idea adding them to the list? I think it would be really difficult to have them on the list, because they are old anime and normally, with the exception of movies, they have a great amount of episodes, which will make it a terrifying task to try to get them all, at least with only us few. I'm sure that many of them won't be that hard to find, but, I don't know, perhaps getting the rips of all of them is beyond our reach. It certainly seems easier to find information about unknown anime (mostly OVAs) than getting rips of all the rare old anime out there.

I'm guessing that by the 1970s, the number of missing rips will start to decrease, but anything before that is pretty much without rips.

Ok, now that A-O is back, it's time to continue with the quest of missing anime. These are for the main list and we should be able to track them down.

1991-05-21 ~ 1991-11-21:
·Yumemakura Baku Twilight Gekijou (夢枕獏 とわいらいと劇場) http://anidb.net/a2903
·Eguchi Hisashi no Kotobuki Gorou Show (寿五郎ショウ) http://anidb.net/a2904
·Akai Hayate (紅いハヤテ) http://anidb.net/a1939

Along with Abashiri Ikka (あばしり一家), they are the anime from the video magazine show Anime V Comic Rentaman (アニメ・V・コミック レンタマン), produced by Studio Pierrot. Only Abashiri Ikka has rips and Akai Hayate has only the first two episodes. They all share the same original release dates as they all were part of Rentaman. But they also got an individual release in Japan, which we should be able to get, although they didn't appear on Share in a quick search I did. I suspect that OpenNap would be the best place to find them.

3 titles added as A176-A178 to the main list.

All of them were released both in VHS (Pony Canyon/Nextart) and LD (Pony Canyon) formats. The exception is "Yumemakura Baku Twilight Gekijou" where I don't have an individual VHS release (but LD exists).
The Akai Hayate rips are from one american VHS (and yes there is a second VHS with eps 3 and 4).
