Movie database/catalog programs allow film buffs to organize their collection (physical discs i.e. dvd/blu-ray, media file paths stored on hard disk or even webpage links) by inputting a title then having the program connecting to database sites such as IMDB, fetching all the info you might need (genre, cast, release date, rating etc.) along with screenshots and store it in a local database.

Now, IMDB was merely an example, as there are scripts capable of fetching info from virtually any database site you want. People already use them to organize their porn collection using scripts for adult content database sites such as IAFD, Adultempire etc. and devs encourage that (programs come with some built-in adult scripts), but unfortunately there’s a lack of JAV/Gravure/Idol scripts.

After trying out many of them, I found one called Movienizer to be the most versatile one. The problem is, no one has come up with a script for sites such as Javlibrary.com, R18.com and/or DMM.co.jp yet. It looks pretty easy for someone accustomed with programming languages to make one
(please check: http://www.movienizer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12
and http://www.movienizer.com/articles/movienizer-scripts.htm),
I’ve tried creating one for Javlibrary myself, but failed since I lack the programming skills.

Does anyone in the community use some scripts already or feels like giving it a go?
I really think it’s a useful tool since by inputting IDs one could build a database for their own collection, then use the powerful search feature to locate i.e “All Pantyhose (genre) releases from Asahi Mizuno (actress) after 2014 (date)” and launch the file or open a webage hosting a video stream, all in a matter of seconds. And that’s just an example, the possibilities are endless. Thanks a lot.
