Sorry for this, but how will I be able to play the HQ vids, 60fps, etc without them being jumpy? Better monitor? :puzzled:

What is your computer specifications?
a faster graphics card and a faster processor will play it.

try updating your codecs.
and try activating Graphical-support vor HD-Movies.

And Post your PC-Details.
Or you won't get a proper answer.

a P4 or better processor (i3 for example) and a graphics card with 512MB of memory should be sufficient. personally, the simplest codec solution is the klite codec pack (standard or full). if you think your hardware is capable of playback then install klite, update it, reboot and try playing a 60fps file again.

core-avc is the fastest codec for h.264 out there, I remember smooth videos even in my old single core.

the P4 isnt an old single core? the coreavc codec is good, but also costs (although not expensive). i simply suggested a free solution for someone who seems new to codecs etc. many people dont like codec packs but they are 'one-click' solutions for less experienced users.
if you are interested in the coreavc codec, this is working.
