This I have seen on my device also. Unfortionately I don't have that much time now to fix this (probably sunday)
why can't I preview the thread images like we used to be able before?

More problems:

There was an addon, which should create static files from the default dynamic css files.
but it looks like there is now an error with that.
it's now disabled.
There is something wrong with page https://www.akiba-online.com/forums/idol-video-clip-downloads.57/page-2 - Pale Moon's memory jumps by 2GB along with very high CPU load, rendering browser unresponsive. I don't know if something has been done with preview popups, as this feature doesn't work for me, but with previews reaching even 10MB on this subforum something could go nuts with too much data... As this is a forum view, please account for new threads.
Edit: this effect can be frequently reproduced also when listing older threads (as in https://www.akiba-online.com/forums/idol-video-clip-downloads.57/page-3 or https://www.akiba-online.com/forums/idol-video-clip-downloads.57/page-6), so it should be easy to catch regardless of any changes to paging of the list of threads.

It's not weird that other browsers might not expose the same behaviour ww Pale Moon is effectively barred from viewing this subforum, so am I supposed to look for another browser or something? Just when Firefox has dropped support for tab groups? *sniff*
I'm still digging into the issue at least a bit. I don't think it's appropriate to load full images only for previews...

Doesn't make any sense.
i don't actually have the control how large the first image in the thread is.
All this addon/hack does is looking for the first img-tag and then putting them on the preview.
I can't acutally re-render the picture without having to completely rewrite the script and making it a lot more complex - with local caches of scaled images.
This would effectifly mean shifting the traffic from the client through our servers - which would increase the network & traffic-load again (which isn't good)

according to the system we haven't send an email for around the last 6 hours.
But normally we send out around 500 to 600 mails a day.
