nope. that won't be enough.
even attatched pictures can be very large.
As i said, this addon will just grep the first image in the post.
if the user would have used thumbnails, it would only load the thumbnail. if they have attached the whole 10MB preview, then this one will be loaded.
All that can be done would be forcing to use thumbnails.

Only loading pictures from some resources would result in a lot of whining from users not being able to hover over the pictures :/

I don't know how many times this might have been mentioned by others before, but mail notifications are still not working. The last I have received was at the end of November.

thanks to chompy, who talked to the ISP, they reopened the SMTP-Ports and we are now being able to send out messages again

global upload-limit is 8MB per file; independent of the number of files.

Congrats for crashing the server due to filling up the database-SSD


Moved some files around. Should be fine - for the time.
Probably we will hit the limit within this year again - time to look for a larger system

Frontend-Provider has disabled all our Servers ...
so we had to switch - on short notice, of course.

Hopefully it's now okay. Though traffic will now be split to more servers :/

Depending on your location the site can be a bit slow (when you are from EU and hitting the Asia servers and vice versa)
Perhaps I'm going to setup some Geo-DNS servers to route you to your nearest server. But at least it's now back online.

We are back on our normal ssl-certificate.
DNS could take some time, especially since I'm routing a bit of our traffic through Cloudflare (around 1 TB each month - only static files; More and CF wants us to upgrade to the business plan ($200))
So I'm going to check how we can do this (perhaps changing this to a new domain or something)

For me, the difference between read and unread posts is a bit too small, hard to see which is which, but hopefully this is just a matter of getting used to it.
