I can't in good conscience say that the new JAV stars are objectively worse than the ones of the past. I think it's just that at a certain point you've seen everything JAV has to offer and the new actresses can't make the same impact.

Thanks for the most thoughtful post on this thread. Really sums up the point here. All things we do in life have the most impact in the initial stages. When something is new and fresh is always the most interesting time. Pornography really is a limited medium..."seen one and you've seen em all" as the saying goes...certainly does have an element of truth. The only NEW variant are the participants. I feel the same way about the recent crop of AV performers, but it's hard to tell if it's an objective truth. In agreement with Hans.

I can definitively say this: the newer performers have more of the quality I seek in porn: big tits (D-cups American size not Japanese D- cup which is at most B+ in US), generally good figure (shapely waist) and nice round ass (I'm a titsman but it also need to be said that traditional Japanese ass is kinda weak), good skin, leak of penis-phobia and/or sperm-phobia and overall a sunny disposition.

So why the lack of that special feeling we had for the previous generation? Partly it's as Hans said, I'm getting old and jaded. Partly I suspect it's a matter of too much of a good thing. Back then half or a whole year may pass without a new debutant with E-cup （Japanese）or bigger, so a "Kyonyū" entering the industry is a special event that lasts at least 3-4 vids （6+ months). Nowadays an F-cup doesn't even get any mention on the cover, and G+ cup (new standard for "kyonyū") debutant seems to come out every month or two.

I think it depends on a persons time frame of what they consider the old generation, vs the new generation. I see the "old" generation as Acky, Sora Aoi, Maria Ozawa, Yuma Asami, and Yumi Kazami (basically 02-06 debuts). Then the "modern" generation Tsubomi, Aino Kishi, Meguri, Miyuki Yokoyama, Kirara Asuka etc(07-11 debuts) and finally new generation of Mana Sakura, Minami Kojima, Aoi Tsukasa, Kana Yume, etc.

I don't see the torch being passed until Acky, and Yumi Kazami go they've both been in for over 10 years, and are still going. Then after Tsubomi, or whoever would take the torch, and of the new generation we would have to wait and see because we don't know how long they will stay

Having watched MYED-045 I've decide to collect few more of her vids. Maybe not all of them at once but she's good enough to merit further investigation. Maybe I will become a fan!
