Congratulations to all the new Mods and to all at Akiba-Online for having them on the team!
From what I've seen they are inspired choices!

Personally, I think fr0sty looks fantastic in lilac!! :gayprance:

In addition to fr0stbyte, snakeboy, and coolkevin, the other newly crowned mods are Ceewan and elgringo14

and even though desioner is already a "super" mod he'll be pulling some "regular" mod duties as well, it seems.

You can see what areas they manage by clicking on the "View Forum Leaders" tab at the bottom of the forum list.

Congratulations to all the new mods!!! :yahoo: I agree with Rhinosaur, these were excellent choices! Kudos to the staff for the excellent picks!

I figured as much, but he's the only "supa-mod" listed as "conventional mod" for a particular area.

Blabbpth is just a test account.

I was wondering who the hell that was. I thought he was just really quiet or something! :pandalaugh: Edited my previous post.

I used to be a Moderator in the MSN Gaming Zone a few years back. In our case, we were called sysops and the program was known as the Member Plus Program, users were recognized when they entered a chat room and a + was tagged behind their name....for example, if your log on name was whoompa and you got accepted into the member plus program, you would be +whoompa ... your name would appear that way on the chat room user list and you would be able to gag, boot, special message, etc other users assuming they were violating the Zone Code of Conduct and even if they did, we were always told that "our voice" is our strongest tool for the time I was a + I rarely used any of my tools .... sometimes I had to boot users and once I had to give a gag60 to a user but not any of the lethal commands that booted players for 1 day or removed their chat privileges for 1 day...altho there were some other guys that abused these commands and got their tokens a.k.a the "+" removed.

We operated the help room via a back chat zone....only mpluses could log in....in this back chat level 4 mplus could make themselves moderators and move up and down between the chat room categories of mod, guest and spectator or asking positions....I remember the mplus in the guest position handled 911 calls....the pluses in asking or spectator responded to the calls and went to the room and well did what they needed to do...

Anyway.....I have moderator experience if you guys need anyone on the team.....I've never been a forum moderator but I do know its about mantaining peace and communicating a motivational or instructional message to the users...atleast thats how I was trained to think.....we were never to unleash any kind of rude comments to anyone, we always had a thick skin for everyone....even when they cursed us out, we always demonstrated a great level of professionalism and respect towards other players even when they didn't show it to us.

I was also a sysop on gamespy arcade but I stopped going there about 3 years ago and I believe my priviledges as a sysop have already been revoked by now for inactivity.

For my own personal protection, I will not reveal my actual gamespy and mplus log on names....but I do have my mplus placard they awarded to all the mpluses....it just has the butter fly and it says "Thank you for your commitment to excellence." oh yeah and we got a T-Shirt.

It's great that you have had all these experiences, but please don't hijack this congratulatory post for your Mod petition. :joker:

I haven't been around these forums for very long, but from the posts I have seen by the new Mod appointments, I'd say a very good choice all round.

:cheer:CONGRATULATIONS:cheer:
And thank you for your hard work.
