The poor job market in Japan means more and more actresses will appear in JAV regardless, but is the cost of making movies rising too? Is that why movies from some studios are becoming less imaginative and daring?

I think its more that theres less money being made by jav producers which cuts the wages of the actresses and therefore actresses need to do more work but there isnt enough work to be done. Movie quality probably takes a hit as well with lesser wages. And with not enough work more actresses are likely to retire.

Its why I encourage anyone that is a jav addict like me to pay what you can. I always at least pay for all the niche stuff I like that I can.

Paying for porn is highly looked down upon in society since its "free" why pay for it? Which is a good honest question. But I would say that the reason you pay for it is so that people are motivated to make more of it, especially niches and such.

For example when Anal Licking Academy 2 was released I bought it right away even though I could have waited a few months for it to be on my r18 prime channel.

This is one of my favorite hobbies so I don’t feel ashamed when I buy porn and since it is such a favorite hobby its worth my money to me, but I'm sure for many people they think to themselves "gosh I'm a fucking loser for doing this". For me though I am not ashamed mostly because I never much cared about what the majority of society thinks.

Porn gets no breaks in society even copy right law doesnt help porn much. So its amazing to me that some of these established studios are still producing because many more fail.

Between morality police trying to use government to shut it down and piracy from its own fans its a tough business to get into if you dont already have a fan base.

The % to the studio (assuming it's not one DMM owns) is not so great. The % studios receive from physical copy sales is better (at least from what I've heard). Either way, it still baffles me as to why studios don't emulate western porn studios more by first and foremost releasing movies only on their site. Months after that they can start pushing it out on the distribution networks.

Supmop: Ethics companies are weird in that if explained to porn companies in the west, they'd cry 'CENSORSHIP!!!', but I think the whole police connection via said Ethics companies is one of the things that has allowed JAV to remain so daring. The Ethics companies get paid, the police get paid, the government gets paid--it's incestuous, but it works! That and Japan being a major world power that isn't heavily influenced by Judeo-Christian principles has given rise to the most liberating type of porn on the planet.

É realmente triste não ter visto seus filmes por um tempo. Não sei por que as pessoas que distribuem esses filmes pararam de fazê-lo. O estilo Nagae é um dos meus estúdios favoritos, pois eles sempre se concentram no drama e no enredo e têm muita variedade em seus filmes. Em termos de filmes netorare, o NSPS-196 sempre foi um dos meus favoritos.

It's sad indeed to not have seen their movies for a while. Not sure why the people who distribute these movies have stopped doing so. Nagae-style is one of my favourite studios as they always focus on drama and plot and have so much variety in their movies. In terms of their netorare movies NSPS-196 was always a personal favourite of mine.
