Nyaa Torrents gone

They operated sukebei.nyaa.se for JAV/hentai stuff and nyaa.eu for anime/JP media. Supposedly one domain is deactivated and the other is deleted.

I'm really sad about this, as it was one of the better torrent aggregators and public trackers. The interface was very streamlined and didn't shove a thousand ads in your face. Plus it was a one-stop shop for just about everything I wanted to find.:(

Yeah it's been my go-to sites for anime and JAV. It's not looking too good. First kickass torrent now nyaa too. The Matrix has you.

Now where to go for good torrents?

Kickass is back in some capacity. Javjunkies for JAV is pretty good.

The new kickass doesn't feel right... I am afraid to use it.

Javbus is great for browse new and old jav and data scrapping. But lacking screen caps (check watermark), lack seeds/leeches stats (avoid dead torrents) and lack file contents (avoid duplicate files). Sukebei.nyaa really was doing a perfect job. My SOP was talk about jav here, browse/research jav on javbus and get jav from sukebei.nyaa.

You can find SD and HD torrent there ... watermarked and no watermark available depending the uploader
Those are Chinese sites and it's full of adds but the torrents are legit

If someone decided to mirror those torrent here in akiba please be thankful and don't be a dick and complaining about the matermark like some user did a few months back :vodoo:
Whoever mirror the torrent here are trying to make our download experince better and they're not responsible about any watermark

at least they should provide info if its watermark or not like a @hairy_bush did with his torrent

btdb.in would be pretty good but OMG the constant ads drive one nuts. The website totally crashes the Opera browser if I click "no" to allowing them to take full control of my midi sound devices.

The loss of NYAA.se is no small thing!

I never seen ads on btdb.in but I use AdBlock.

I wish I used nyaa.se before. There are torrents there not available anywhere else.

pornolab.net is a good alternative for NYAA. They have a separate section for JAVs with dozens of uploads daily, a clean website without stupid ads or to force you to download files other than the video file (like the above chinese trackers). It is a bilingual site, so that you don't need to know russian. All movies have thumbnails screenshots.
It is true that you need to maintain a ratio, but it is easy to do it. DHT and PEX are allowed. It's just a matter of will to mantain a good ratio. I'm downloading from there once every few days.

Damn. I might have to start buying them now. Is there a legal way to buy movies without having to use a DRM player? Where I can just download and keep the files?

Unfortunately no.
This is why I've never gone past my 7 day trial subscription to R18, because you ultimately have no control over the video file.
If they remove a certain video from their catalogue, which you've already paid for, you still lose access to it.

Hopefully they'll realize, like the music industry has, that DRM'ing digital content doesn't solve anything.
They have to change with the times and evolve their business model instead of relying on proven-wrong methods.
Then again, that's not a strong suit for the Japanese. Just look at their current economic status :p
They're HTML5 solution seems to show a lot of promise, if implemented properly and on a wider scale.
