Olympics Tokyo 2020

Finally less than a day away, really hard to get excited about this one

about 22 hours from the time of this post, although the football has started, and Japan are 1 up
Real Madrid youngster KUBO Takefusa has just fired an absolute gem past Williams into the bottom corner to give Japan the lead. What a goal!

They should have postponed it until 2028. Then they don't have to adjust much to the 2020 signs.

And then it is probably also possible with public and without corona measures.

Japan beat South Africa 1-0

opening ceremony is live now, missed a bit of it,
not that I am bothered about that part

more live events now

Judo

Takato has won Japan's first gold medal of the Games!

Does anyone have a torrent of the opening ceremony? I missed it, I heard it has a lot of JRPG songs.

they was orchestral played, and I asked a gamer if he knew them, but he did not

Judo

TONAKI Funa (JPN) gets silver

sorry for not keeping the medal table up to date, not feeling to good, should have been about 7 hours ago,
anyway Japan tops the overnight table

end of day 6
Japan lost a place, but only 1 gold medal short of the best ever

it all gets finished tomorrow, covid killed this Olympics (bad handling by the worlds politicians)

sadly it has come to an end, pity about all the problems the world created, it may have been the best ever

Finished 3rd

They did really well with the event considering the circumstances. It could've been a disaster. Still, there's that fleeting thought of how it could've been without the pandemic.
