Hi Supmop, do you mean actual sex and covered by the mosaic? According to the book it was in the mid 80's (not sure if it was 1984 or 1985)when Nikkatsu developed the "Roman X" films.

Although one of the few things I do know about the old JAVs is that they averaged about an hour, I don't know much about works before 2007, having only discovered JAV a few years later... and I wonder if many members aren't in the same boat, Supmop. (One reason why I fear there may not be too many contributors for this thread.)

I recognized a cover from this page that I had run into before (I'm a sucker for teachers with glasses):

The download link was working (as much as the filehoster was the dreaded Rapidgator), so I picked it up. I get the impression these older JAVs were treated more like "real movies" (not unlike 1970s American porn), and there was more... seriousness? ... to them. Anyway, as you put it, there was "lesser sex action," and given my basic instincts, I felt disappointed.

The page I linked above is from a thread called, "JAV Vintage Collection"; I didn't explore past that (eleventh) page, but the one thing that struck me was how... different... the ladies looked, on that page. Maybe the thicker eyebrows? Over half the ladies sported them, but it's more than that. Something more... plain?... about these women? The photos of the ladies you put up look a lot more like what we are accustomed to, so I can't be sure whether my observation was coincidental.

Just wanted to say, JB-002 is still available on this site through Rapidgator, and it is one of the best bondage videos I have ever seen. It has a plot, maybe 8 or 9 decent actors, and a lot of fiendish creativity in the bondage. The lead actress nails the part of the stern, leggy teacher wearing glasses. So that was one of the very first Attackers videos? I want to see more from the director.

used to be very easy to get her vids before internet era, but at that time still VCD and the quality are poor, seems people don't want to store those vids, and now its became very rare ... her JAVs need to be re release in high quality

Yeah its better to check her straight themed titles only (no scat, no vomit), she is hilariously memorable and one of the funniest to watch.

I lived in Japan from 2002-2007, and Nao Oikawa was the first AV talent I came across. Lust at first sight. Other favorites were Ran Asakawa, Ryoko Mizusaki, Ryoko Mitaki, An Nanba, Ai Nagase, Honoka, and Rumiko Hasegawa.

Yeah, it is the oldest movie studio in Japan.
The oldest uncensored jav i have seems to be from the early 90's of a young Sayuri Shinohara vid i found in this great site.
