In regards to suicide among JAV gals there are more than a few cases of completed suicide. I can find an article(s)that tell about some of them. Surely the actual number of former JAV actresses or Soapland etc workers is higher than 10 over the last 30 years, since I know of about 5, but at the very least it is not zero. Just adding this information for facts sake.
Two of the JAV actresses had done some well-known bukkake vids and might be known to some of you.
Hayashi Yumika and Kurasawa Nanami.
Some of these women had issues BEFORE they entered the industry.
While they were in the industry...
and you would logically think that they would have problems after they leave the industry.
Even if the number of suicides is low, that doesn't mean these women don't get depressed or are unhappy at times with their lives. And it doesn't matter if it's a Western porn actress, one working in JAV or whatever. No one is immune to depression, sadness and despair.
Another factor is the fans of some of these actresses. Some seem quite possessive. Sure, these women meet their fans in public places, but how many of them would want to be with some of these fans in private? Because some can't seem to separate fiction from reality.
A name I'll throw out there is Yuma Asami. After she was diagnosed with cancer, I wonder how many true fans did she have.
Did some want her to get better just so she could make more movies?
Did some stop fantasizing about her completely because their image of her was shattered?
As of May 20, 2015, she has retired from the industry. I'm curious that if she does have a personal relationship, would he want her to be like the woman he might have seen in her movies or will he accept her for who she is now?
I honestly wish her the best, but I wonder how many guys are mad that she isn't making movies for THEIR enjoyment?
