Timeline since Thursday evening
Thursday....
2100: Arrive home from shooting in Sakuragicho, completely tired, back is aching from carrying all of my fucking gear. Not happy, but it's golden week now.
0300: Still can't sleep. Forgot that the three yager-bombs I was served by the models manager had red bull... I suck.
0500: Eyes are drifting shut... I think.
Friday....
0800: Wake up, half asleep, but do it anyways. Shower, notice the Y key on my keboard isn't working that well. Annoing but I'll make due.
1000: Off to Hachioji, meet with friends, have dinner, shop around for muslin
1300: Go to the onsen , flirt with front-staff, enable the stereotype and myth of western men
1500: Go to have a couple of drinks in Minamino-Hachioji, but not before taking a scooter out for a bit of a run around town
1800: Dinner at a nice hotel, but served three shots of tequila... can only stomach one.
2000-????: More drinking somewhere on Hachioji. End up getting a hickey on the side of my hip from a drunken sushi-chef and get business cards from someone who works at Oracle and think it would be a good idea to hire me in his drunken state, even though I don't have any computer-network experience. Yay.
Saturday
0730: Up and on the road to Yamanashi to enjoy a country-side bbq
1045: Arrive, despite the traffic on the high-way (It's Golden-Week after-all)
1130: Get a drunken lecture by an old man on repopulating Japan. One of the few 'old style' Japanese I've met that doesn't loathe foreigners.
1400: Take a walk with an American friend who works with the military. Learn many things that are wrong with the military, hear some insight after 27 years in it. Kind of glad I didn't join.
1510: Have a Nintendo DS 'Tetris' Match with 9 women. I lose 7 times out of 8.
1640: Head back into Tokyo in the Nissan Cedrick. Get back to my place around 1830, shower, shave, get ready for the party at XEX Nihombashi
2100: Running late, have to carry all of my equipment (lighting/stands/backdrop/bodies/lenses/strobes) by myself. Not happy but it's for charity so I suck it up and only complain a few times.
2230: Setup complete, people are coming through the doors and everyone is happy.
