Pickup up girls on the street for AV: Real?

There are a lot of JAVs where they go out and pick up random girls on the street then convince them to have a photoshoot then sex. Sometimes they take her out for a meal first, etc. then to a hotel room for filming.

I've always had doubts about whether those scenarios are real, especially since sometimes they go out and pick up a known JAV actress.

Anybody know any background on whether this actually happens in real life?

I don't have any definitive information about it, but I don't think that it is real. It would be too dangerous as they may get problems with the law. Also a lot of things can happen while shooting the movie which will make it more expensive.
About the "fan appreciation" movies: Maybe these are real fans, but I think also in this case most of it is set up (means organized).

Remember I watched an interview before long time ago. Forgot what show it is but that show was interviewing a Japanese girl who ply her trade overseas as a singer and actress. She mention that since she worked overseas, she is relatively an unknown in her homeland Japan. Though she is not really very famous overseas as well.

But the main point is she mention she had been approached by JAV scouts a few times on the road trying to pick her up to shoot JAV. And she say they are quite persistent as well and some have even approached her more than once. She too say when she was with her overseas friend, they too approach not only her but her friend as well. She advice guys that if they ever go to Japan with their other half, always stay with them no matter what and don't let them wander off anywhere alone in Japan.

Till today that interview still stuck in my head. Really sound kinda scary to me. How much is true? Well I will never know. But since that girl is a Japanese there may well be the "hardcore" truth.

I've wondered about these for some time as they are my favorite genre. I'm not naïve in just believing anything but some are rather convincing. What has made me wonder is that most nanpa movies don't list any actress names. Now I know there are tons of girls working in JAV, or even the same can be said here and performers are not always credited. Usually I think these scenes do feel rather scripted and if you watch enough of them you catch the patterns.

I've visited Japan and it is not odd for people to approach you wanting something on the street, but I don't speak Japanese and the speaker I was with basically said to ignore them.

Most of the "Nanpa" movies and the situations that you see are all staged, but it is completely true that scouts approach not just women, but also men on the streets to lure them into the AV world, and they are really, really persistent. They will follow you several blocks if needed. I experienced it myself before while walking one saturday night around the Kabukicho area and one guy approached me and offered me to be part of a massive gangbang. He promised that my face would not be shown. I was not at all interested so I kept walking and then he gave up.

I'm not too knowledgeable on the topic, but from the way I see japanese society handles itself (very strict and orderly) I would like to assume that there is a strict control in which actors and actresses already in the business need to go undergo regular check ups, new recruits even more so.

however, if you ever go to a soapland, you'll be told by the staff (at the same time that they apologize), that you'll need to wear a condom because you're a foreigner, meaning that japanese customers get to fuck the ladies raw. That should give you an idea of how confident they feel about STDs.

I think the reason why they don't let you bang the girls raw is that they never like foreigners from the stories I heard.

Well, I don't think it's that frown upon anymore. I've traveled all around Japan with my japanese girlfriend, holding hands and all, and we've been treated wonderful by everyone. In fact we've made many friends in our travels. Her family is also cool with me, but I've heard there are still very traditional families that will not accept foreigners.

The reason why girls at soaplands don't let foreigners fuck them raw, is because Japan still has this embedded idea (proposed and supported by politics) that we gaijin are the ones bringing crime and STDs into Japan. It's become a trend to blame foreigners for many of Japan's own problems.

I am a fan if the Haruna Rezunanpa series and have wondered about this myself. In these videos, an AV actress picks girls up off the street and invites them back to a van or an apartment where they are seduced into lesbian sex. I feel the series is well done and quite erotic. I find part of me thinking that it can't possibly be real, and another part of me thinking that it can't possibly be fake. There are several factors contributing to each theory.

Some things to consider:

• The girls seem to have completed 'Porn 101' and know the basics of performing (i.e. they don't look into the camera, they only speak to the other performers and not the crew, they move their hair out of the way so the camera can see the action, etc.).

• The camera is not stationary, so there is at least one other person moving around the set, often very close to the action. A director (likely Haruna herself) can often be seen inserting her arms into the scene to operate a toy on the performers or push them into a desired position. Ignoring others close by in the room while having sex would be very deliberate, and rather unnatural for an average pedestrian right off the street.

• To be frank, random people off the street arean't always going to be 'ready' to spontneously engage in sex (e.g. you're going to encounter some women who are menstruating or have some other health / hygene issue, torn underwear, soiled clothing, etc.). These girls all seem to be squeeky clean, made up and well dressed, as if they were prepared.

• Many of their reactions seem genuine. They appear to be truly shocked, reluctant or embarrassed at times. This would be difficult (but not impossible) to fake.

• Many of the girls are very average looking (i.e. not particularly attractive or athletic 'model-quality' bodies).

• They perform porn-type visual acts which would probably not be normally practiced in the course of non-porn sex (e.g. spitting into each other's mouths).

• There are likely some legal, health and documentation concerns that would need to be addressed before making porn (waivers, contracts, proof of age, STD screening, etc.).

• I've seen some G-rated behind the scenes clips (youtube or similar) that follow the girls from recruitment on the street back into the van, and then later getting dressed and leaving after the scene. It appeared believable, but did not show them addressing any of the aforementioned concerns.

• If you watch very closely, sometimes the girls are observed experiencng occasional reluctance and encouraging each other to continue the performance through to completion. I sometimes get the impression that they are offered considerable money off camera and are trying to get each other to finish the scene so they can get paid.

• Some fans have suggested that the girls are escorts, prostitutes, struggling students, adult dancers, or amateurs trying to break into the AV industry. I could imagine many of them having responded to a modeling ad or similar.

• It would be quite a hurdle for most average people to clear to have lesbian sex with their friends, on camera for the world to see, without being prepared for it to happen in advance. No amount of money would justify it for me or the people I know. Perhaps things are different in Japan?

• As a general rule, almost all porn is fake.

In any case, Haruna does a good job of making things appear believable. The series is entertaining and seems to be very successful. It would be interesting to see some of the models interviewed about their performance. As to whether it is real or fake, perhaps it is somewhere in between.

agree with you, most of the time I noticed those girls actually are regular player, studios claimed they are amateurs and don't put their name, maybe it was from the early of their career, with internet era like today is more easy to noticed if those "amateur girls" are actually pro AV girls
