You COOLzero are a hero to all Akiba-Onliners. Thank you does not cover it, I thought this place finally bit it.
Same here. I can recall a downtime of about a week at some point last year, but I think there was still a little message on the page saying it will be back in a few days. But this time not even an info showed up and the whole thing was unaccessible for days. So it really scared me and I thought someone took it down maybe in response the new cp-law hitting this summer or the gubbermint finally found a way to spoil the party.
Glad that hasn't happend by now.

Thank you! I was on the site Friday and was about to download but I needed to re-boot first. AO was gone when I came back up. Haha, I spent the next hour eliminating that it was not me but spent the weekend worried AO was gone. Saw the link here a little while ago on the FB page. Happy to report the Friday download links are still here and working.
Make sure to clear your cache. Also make sure youre logged in on the .org domain. I was worried since i couldn't access the U15 section but was able to get in by doing those things.
you have to clear your cache, since it was/is essential for akiba to remove as many load as possible. So akiba will cache lots of requests within your own browser.
Clearing the cache and doing a login should solve all problems.
as for not accessing the server: i had to fix some small reconfigurations due to the new domain. so it could be that i have restarted the web-services while you tried to access the system - sorry about that.

changed back all settings to the .com

so if they haven't worked on .org they should not work on .com either.

Sorry to bother you, but I'm having trouble with the mail notification again.
Since yesterday 12 new posts have been made in sections and/or threads I have placed a notification setting on. But I got none notification mail.
I also checked the SPAM folder and so on. But there was nothing.

The first notification mail I got was the one of your post. Afterwards everything worked perfectly as before.
Something funny happened a moment ago when I visited my alerts page: In the last 24h there was this guy flooding the forum with spam messages. Someone of the mods or admins finally deleted all of his posts or even his user.
Normally I get maybe 20 or 30 alerts on the alerts page on each page. But the places which were filled with the alerts from posts of that guy are missing now. Means the 1st 3 pages only contained maybe 10 or 15 alerts. Looked somehow odd.
Just for your information as I think it is only a cosmetic thing, but not really something you should put energy into.
